If it is real, most of it is the backer's. Well, they could have a 50-50 split, and then yes, it was a good pay off, but I just don't see how selling options can give such a big return? Specially when selling both sides? The put side was a loss, obviously...

To go from 25k to nearly half a millon profits in 4 months is not a neglectable thing to do.

That said, how fucked would he be if the stock would've gotten to $80...
So by the looks of that screenshot, he was short about 500 to 600 x 50 calls plus 55 calls etc.
So he made 650k on calls, and since he made 410 total he lost 240 on the 25 put? So he would've been short about 250 puts.... Shorted @ $10-ish and worth $20 now, so lost $10 on those.... 10x250= 250k loss.
@vanzandt if he would've shorted an even amount 25-50 strangle he would still be just okay as the strangle would be about $20. Where did you get that jan opts 25-50 in your dec 2 post from?
