Why the US has so much trouble with COVID-19

It might be the other way round.
We expect population decrease.

With couples seeing each other in tight confined space 24 hours a day and for many many days,
there are many cases where the couples cannot find enough breathing and personal space.

with such close proximity for very long duration, they can't tolerate each other.
Quarrel and domestic fight break out easily.
In many cases, police have to be called in to intervene.

Many countries have provided HELP contact numbers for such couples.

Here where I'm currently at...

I've never seen this many people on my street with young adult children that are now pregnant.

Seriously, a few people on my street think they're too young to become grandparents. :D

So far...six older couples that will be grandparents next year.

In comparison, only one couple last year became a grandparent this year.

Maybe its just location location location depending upon the stress in the location.

Florida Man Who Died In Motorcycle Wreck Labeled As COVID-19 Death By State

We know that coronavirus death counts are being inflated - we just don't know by how much. After all, how could they not be when there is a financial incentive for states and municipalities to report deaths as coronavirus deaths? And for some states, there may even be a political incentive...

Which is why it shouldn't come as a total surprise when a man who suffered a fatal motorcycle accident in Florida last week was added to the state's Covid-19 death count.

Fox 35 did an investigation where they talked to Orange County Health Officer Dr. Raul Pino about two deaths of people in their 20s that were labeled coronavirus deaths. When they asked if the people who died had underlying conditions, Pino responded: “The first one didn’t have any. He died in a motorcycle accident.”

When he was asked about whether or not the motorcycle victim's data was removed from the state's Covid system, he responded:

“I don’t think so. I have to double-check. We were arguing, discussing, or trying to argue with the state. Not because of the numbers -- it’s 100…it doesn’t make any difference if it's 99 -- but the fact that the individual didn’t die from COVID-19…died in the crash. But you could actually argue that it could have been the COVID-19 that caused him to crash. I don’t know the conclusion of that one.”

This seems to stand at odds with how the Florida Department of Health explained how they were reporting Covid deaths.

The state had told Fox: "A COVID death is determined if COVID19 is listed as the immediate or underlying cause of death, or listed as one of the significant conditions contributing to death. Or, if there is a confirmed COVID-19 infection from a lab test – and the cause of death doesn’t meet exclusion criteria – like trauma, suicide, homicide, overdose, motor-vehicle accident, etc."

“The only thing that I can say to people is the data I provide you with is the data we consume from the state. We offer you the best data that we have,” Pino concluded, copping out.

And for those wondering about how Covid deaths are being counted, this April interview on Fox News with Dr. Scott Jensen does a good job of explaining just some of the issues:

Apparently there is a financial support for Covid-19 deaths. So it is logical that those who can benefit from this support, would declare ANY death as being a Covid-19 case.

If tomorrow the government would give you $50 if you save a patient that has Covid-19, there will be no Covid-19 deaths anymore.
But the number of patients dying from long infections would go up equally.

Look can be deceiving. We are setting case and death records everyday and the peak is not in sight yet. :(

I know but don't blame it on the beach if that is not the main source of infection.

If you are going to get infected than the beach is probably the best place to do it. Your initial viral load is going to be low.

Why the US has so much trouble with covid19 ? Because there is an over abundance of stupid in the US. Common sense, isn't as common as it used to be. Arrogance and self entitlement seems to be the prevailing attitude. Pekelo is correct, we had the perfect warning(Wuhan) and a window into what would happen if covid19 found its way here. The instant we found out that 5 million people had left Wuhan before their lockdown, we should have blocked all travel from at least Asia. Instead, our leaders literally imported the virus via cruise ships and air travel. The passengers from one cruise ship were transferred to an airforce base outside of Sacramento, taken care of by military medical staff in a secure and sparsely populated location. The Fed and the CDC actually wanted transfer some of those patients to a densely populated area of Orange County. Are you F...ing kidding me!!! You can't make this shit up. A much better solution would have been for the Fed to rent vacant Hotels in Asia and Europe, turn them into pseudo mash units, and let the patients get well there. It's like a bunch of high school kids are running the country.

Something like this virus exposes rifts in society and in leadership. Every country is different of course, but as a people if a country wants to get past this they have to work together and think about the population as a whole. Sacrifices need to be made at individual level so as to benefit the whole.

Obviously there will be people in every country who rebel etc...We have our fair share of idiots in the UK. This attitude of "well I don't have the virus..so I'm alright jack" is so depressing. But at the very least, the government, leaders etc should be working together and deliver a consistent message...even if their political views don't match.

So I don't really get the USA....yes masks...no masks...infighting between federal and governors...different states doing different things.
I just don't get it. I've been a few times to USA , on holiday etc. And it always struck me about how patriotic the people must be e.g. a lot of houses have the american flag outside. People I have met in the US always seem proud to be american. But from the outside looking in, it doesn't seem to reconcile with what's going on.

Welp, there it is. You have to love the implication-- a few deaths are mislabeled as COVID-19-attributable, and the extremists claim a widespread scam in tallying COVID-19 deaths.

It's tantamount to the few instances of voter fraud, where the extremists conclude voter fraud is rampant; regardless of the fact that several in their ranks have been convicted of voter fraud.

Twist on, sir. Twist on.

With hospitalizations, cases and deaths skyrocketing, how can any sane person not be worried AF?

Conversation should be:

  • How to get federal government to provide leadership?
  • What type of masks work best?
  • How to enforce and standardize lockdowns?
etc

Dumbass Americans have totally failed and fucked up, and the deaths will surge exponentially, like Fauci, Gottlieb and Gupta warned.

What will it take? My genuine concern is it's hopeless, because too many Americans are too stubborn and stupid. Dumb AF leads to dead AF. Darwin was right.
