Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Quote from DrEvil:

I think it needs to pointed out that this discussion is mostly relevant to short term (intraday) trading.

Short term trading is the best type of trading for certain people, and is not suited to others.

The OBVIOUS, applies to all markets, no matter what type of trading is carried out.

That is ALL rubbish, and, the real knowledge is in front of your 2 eyes each and every day, if YOU but care to look:D

ok is the OBVIOUS in the Barry Rudd pdf ?:)

Earlier I wrote it would not get any better. Well, this post is better!

How they say: what comes up, must come down !

Someting alike: retirer pour mieux sauter!

Quote from The Expert:

When NY made this statement, I can now tell you that he was not talking about risk management.

The OBVIOUS that NY is on about, is NOT so OBVIOUS to many, and they still continue to place their money at risk in the markets, hoping and wishing they will win, but refusing to acknowledge that the chances of them losing are far greater, than the chances of winning.

It is VERY OBVIOUS that most do not know what they are doing, for, if they did, they would not be doing it:eek:

Some, not most, have the adaptability to adjust to changing market conditions. Since you spend so much time telling all of us how impossible it is, you are obviously not one of those individuals.

Listen here you young badger:D , if you care to READ what The Expert writes, then you might SEE what TE is actually talking about:p

Now, scurry back into your hole where you belong:D

I think it is time for the "F Word" thread:D

Quote from The Expert:

To move on quickly, write down your answer to the following and how long it takes you to come up with the answer.

1.

elk
mink
mouse
gibbon
panther

Which creature comes next? Is it:
squirrel, tortoise, tigress, wildebeest, platypus or aardvark?

Tortoise

Identified two patterns which led me to that conclusion in ~10 minutes

TE,

Seems folks are reluctant to take this little ole test – so here goes… I ain’t scared

Btw a caveat - I’ve never taken one of these tests where all answers are black or white (to me) – hence I’ve added my commentary

1 – 3
I’ll remain focused as long as it takes – so long as it keeps my interest… Does not mean I’ll get bored (frustrated) and quit if I can’t figure it out quickly… some things I become obsessive about till it’s done , others I’ll walk away from and never look back – just depends on me…

2 – 3
Head in the clouds, feet on the ground

3 – 4
If I find I have an interest in it - absolutely, other wise no… For example – I have no interest in bungee jumping

4 – 5
Ever

5 – 5
Mandatory – helps me stay centered

6 – 1
Methodically scattered brained

7 – 5
Unfortunately (I’ve found nothing is mine till I’ve done the work to make it so)

8 – 3
I’ll use the environment for food, shelter, entertainment, fuel – in a heartbeat… BUT as I type this I am watching the oil spill feed and my heart is aching for Mother Nature

9 – 1
Modern art – no, Classic art – definitely

10 – 5
Always – up to and including me…

11 – 3
My mind is very active, but while trading and at bed time I have learned to quiet it

12 – 3
I never actively embrace, or overtly shy away from being unconventional

13 – 3
Even fancied myself an intellectual at one point, now I’ve learned to listen to my intuition more (it was way too easy to out think myself as an "intellectual")

14 – 1
If the speaker holds my interest I’ll listen and take notes, if not I’ll leave (yes I’ve walked out on some pretty high profile speakers)

15 – 1
But I used too

16 – 3
At times yes – at other times no – I am equally comfortable in both settings

17 – 3
Only if imo they are unnecessary – (unfortunately there are some who must be protected from themselves - and it ruins it for the rest of us)

18 – 5
In the right mind all things are possible

19 – 1
If I want to learn them – then I’ll take as long as it takes

20 – 1
Never had an interest in analyzing my dreams, but I do wake up laughing occasionally…

21 – 5

22 – 5
It is one of the main reasons I journal – so when I have a thought I can write it down and free up my mind for other thoughts.. Then I’ll revisit these thoughts later, when time allows, and work out the details

23 – 5

24 – 3
I neither revel nor shy away from it – I am who I am (so lead, follow, or get the hell out of my way)… or stated another way (never walk in front of me – for I may not follow, never walk behind me – for I may not lead, walk beside me – and be my friend…or get the hell out of the way….your choice…) :)

25 – 5
Usually – hell I'll doodle while I trade

So what are we to surmise from this – I am crazy – right… no I am not… yes I am… no I am not…. yes I am….:p

See Ya
