Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

testing new booktrader bigger layout..but need to have another screen for the charts..i was too slow to go down 0.25 with button due to switching over and back for charts..trading without charts is trading blind!

@M4-1,
How many "lines in the sand" exist in one timeframe:
1, 2, 4 (or maybe even 7??)

trading is not simple.. don't mind previous childs play reference..that was just sarcasm !

for me its simple..if you can make some money and hold on to it..then you have a fair idea of what is going on..and you are able to react to what you see..

if you want to buy and hold..then you have to take on the risk..no other way..

they are 2 completely different approaches..completely different methods..BUT..both have one thing in common..and that is..market data..

it requires many hours of practice with live trades..today i am even considering trying the order flow analysis setups again..as if it can help me react a bit faster than i am doing at the moment..then i will use it..if not..then in the bin it goes..

there are no magic formulas..no crap books required..nor any Gobshite trying to sell you information that will do nothing only prevent you from seeing what you need to see..BUT..you must be able to achieve positive results from your activities..otherwise it is all just a total waste of time and effort..pissing up the rope :)

look how many posters on this site post about things that do not matter..really..some things never change..in fact..it is even worse now than how it was back in 2000 when Woodie was The Man with his magical CCI..what a load of bollox :)

in and out!

Use buy stops and sell stops above/below market. That should solve your issues of being too late to enter.

These orders should further trigger automated exit / trade management strategies which takes care of that part.

Obvious, really. :)

i prefer to be able to move my orders quickly..getting there..but as i am out of action a good while i am just too slow at the moment..like everything..you cant really do it..unless you are doing it

the last trade was not a good trade..but the main thing is..the result !

am i the only one posting live trade results as they happen :)

another bad trade..went to see if the roast chicken was done..seen on my mobile it popped down..went back to pc and went long too early..

at least i managed the exit a bit better this time..started with 8.96 and ended with 18.96..

i make that $128 for today..time for some roast chicken :)
