Sonetimes u have to sell and admit you are wrong. When you are wrong- be wrong quick and be wrong small.
I never let my losses get big, i keep them manageable. Big losses almost always beget more losses. Its human nature to want to recoup a loss quickly and more importantly, regain your confidence. This commonly results in reckless trading.
Be methodical and take the small loss but there is also a fine line between taking a loss and selling too quickly. That is where the “ x factor” of trader intuition comes into play.
Avoid the “ it just has to work” method of a trade. Hope and logic doesn’t work.
Also know how and why certain sectors are moving and know which stocks are in that sector.
Near the open, not at the open, i jumped into Mosaic ( MOS ). Why ??? We had bad inflation numbers today and yields went up. Plus Kroger ( KR ) had great earnings. Mos is a fertilizer play amd usually works well as an inflation play and also i comjunction with a strong reaction to a company like Kroger ( KR ).
I have hundreds of stocks in my head and I knkw what each if then does.
