We generally get 2 weeks off. Would sincerely appreciate if you could address my earlier question. You are in Belgium correct? If not please correct me. What are your thoughts that the EU with slash benefits for working people with austerity, specifically 4-6 week holidays?

I went camping in Schwarzwald, Gemany this summer and set up camp next to a Colombian-American family. The Pater-Familias was stationed in Bavaria with the U.S. Army. I told his wife that we will be camping for two weeks. She was suprised: they only had a four day leave after her husband came back from Afganistan. But it's okay, they went on a three day trip to Paris last year.

I thought it would be best if I didn't tell her I usually take five vacations a year and three weeks off in the summer. I'll be spending New Years Eve in Stockholm and five days in Marrakech this January.

I know. My wife and I talk to her relatives all the time. The go on a few vacations a year. Croatia, Santorini, etc. We have to bit our tongues.
