Quote from Ricter:
Greater quantitatively, as in number of worldviews, not qualitatively, as in which one is best. I did notice you recognize there are more than one as well, so I think we're agreed there.

there is only two actually.. SCIENCE/REASON and fantasy
join the 21st century, it's great place to be your still living DARK AGES where you think any stupid little idea that POPS into your dumb ass head is meaningful![]()

Quote from Ricter:
The important thing is that you recognize there is more than one. Nowhere did I say or imply that I think "any" idea is meaningful.
We are approaching the qualitative perspective now, and I'm ready for that too.
Two smiley faces back at you.![]()

Quote from stu:
A thousand billion billion zeroes against, is evidence of a thousand billion billion zeroes against. It is not evidence of a creator (designer).
But even if there were a thousand billion billion zeroes against, there is a universe against any odds.
So what now the odds against a creator (designer) for which there is no such comparison of existence? Your bible odds making site not do that calc? Too many zeroes even for them?
The universe is evidence of a universe, nothing else.
The universe is everything a creator (designer) could be.
You want to see a designer while you're staring right into it.
Talk about can't see the wood for the trees.
Quote from killthesunshine:
"qualitative" burned hapless souls as witches. take your "qualitative" shove it

That would depend on your aim. Science seeks to recognize and understand objective reality. Art is the subjective spin that seeks to add beauty in the eye of the beholder, whatever that beauty may be. The best art includes reality in some measure because that is the common ground upon which the artist seeks to bond with others, and perhaps evoke a similar emotional response although not necessarily. Art can blunt the sharp edges of reality or make them even more pronounced, depending on the intent and interpretation.Quote from OPTIONAL777:
Science and the arts combined is greater than science alone...
Science and the arts, then combined with philosophy is even greater...
