why does religion matter?

religious people in general are not anymore moral then atheists. I want a president that is a workaholic. I want a president that does not let religion get in the way of this desicion making.

They're sucking up to America. I think its sad they had to play that card, and cant answer the question without bringing God into the equation. One thing is for sure, we'll never have an atheist president...at least not to the public's knowledge.

The very concept of faith is an insult to knowledge.

Knowledge had to be denied in order to make faith.

Faith is a building block in an environment of doubt.

Doubt is the environment experienced when knowledge is denied.

Such is the world, built by faith out of an environment in which nothing is certain.

Humans are a product of such faith.

Humans exist as much as fairies and elves. You need to believe in them to be one.

You did believe or you would not be a human.

The natural state of a Son of God is pure knowledge. Faith has no place in knowledge.

Faith is used to morph Self into something that is not...such as "human".

So faith is a tool.

You used it to become human.

Now you must use it to return to your natural state.

To use it, realize that desire precedes faith.

You believe in what you want. Evidence follows.

Faith in love means you want love more than you want the fear of human existence.

If you want certainty, you must invest some faith to reverse the effects that came to you when you denied knowledge.

to have faith in certainty, realize that you want to be certain. That is why you ask for heaven with desire. Faith will follow.

What do you want?

Truth?

Truth is.

You do not make truth with faith. If that were true, the world would be true. But it is not. It is an illusion.

Truth can only be recognized.

To recognize it you must want it.

Wanting it, you will have faith in it...until you no longer have use for faith.

Truth is accepted.

You will not accept it if you don't want it.

The world was taken on faith.

It is a way of saying, "I don't need evidence, or reason. I'll believe whatever I want even if reality overwhelmingly shows that it's just not true."

Such was the making of the world.

Religion, properly understood, is the practice of separating truth from illusion.

The world is a place in which truth is not welcome, because it is entirely built on illusion for the purpose of masking the truth.

The world defines religion as a persistent belief in one's god of choice.

But that is merely more of the same b.s. that made the world in the first place...and preserves it.

Faith is of no use till you have discerned what is real from what is unreal and accepted the truth.
