It really is pathetic that in the day and age of telecommunications, that we have these ancient rules that keep us in the dark ages. I agree. Do you want to destroy the restaurant, limousine and call girl industries in the nation's capital? It would also create massive inefficiency. Lobbyists would be forced to travel all over the country to attend "fundraisers", even into flyover country. Think about the incredible hardship our press corps must endure in the hellhole known as Crawford, Texas. Would you wish that on K Street too?
