Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

What is it about ET that draws out all of the hustlers and hosebags? :p

I don't know, why is it again you're here?
Someone at Surf's bash said you were a little off center, now I see what they meant.

Looks like I hit a nerve, huh Pompous Logic? :D

My posts are all part of current ET threads which have not been deleted, but rather they remain open to public viewing. I'm just giving the current readership (posters who are new to you) some background information, and in the process highlighting one of the more note-worthy posts.

You know what they say, the truth shall set you free. :)

Speaking of posts, there's another post floating around here someplace of a student of ProfLogic's who started a web blogsite documenting his trades.

He ended-up having his ass throughly handed to him.

ProfLogic's response was that he was just a "new" or "beginning" student ... or some such nonesense.

There was another time that ProfLogic supposedly traded 20 markets perfectly, LOL ... and this was several years ago.

At this rate I don't know what happened that has made him revert to taking 1 pt YM trades to make money, but hey, who knows? :D

First, you are trying to teach logic to retired logic teacher. You are in a no win situation.

Range Bar Charts - user defined price range (no user defined volume)
Constant Volume Bar Charts - user defined volume (no user defined price range)

Since these chart types, by sheer definition, are not the same your assessment of there sameness in regards to clarity is incorrect.

Adding noise was not the best choice of words to describe what I meant initially. Let me clarify by saying that, IMO, Range bars eliminate some clarity that pure price creates in its bar-by-bar movement for me. I can see where Range Bars could be a benefit for some that are more directional traders but I personally am meticulous on strict objective entries and exits. I know that "price break-outs" fail regularly from making HH's or LL's so logically to base bars on the same criteria should have the same or close consistency.
IOW, blah ... blah ... blah

MandelbrotSet aka Jimmy Jam.

I presently refuse to stoop to your childish antics of posting information I don't personally know as being fact just because I can.

LOL, didn't you read the footnotes? :D

Oh, and BTW folks, if it were a lie the mods would have removed it ... actually, it's very interesting that PompousLogic is allowed to continue posting as a "normal" ET'er while he most definitely has been a vendor in the past (which included his soliciting certain other ET'ers to "join in" and study his course, LOL, guess who :p )

I said "no thanks" FTR, (and looking at opm8's review, I'm glad I did).

MandelbrotSet aka Jimmy Jam aka Icarus5 or whatever personality you are today . . . how is your night job going at the convenient store?

Hey, maybe someday you can grow up to be a full time trader. You never know, you might even be able to afford to upgrade from that Celeron processor and antique CRT.

You're a blatant bold faced liar. That is not my address. I do not live at that address and you have been reported. I will have your IP address by day's end.
