Why do 5% of Traders Win?

This is the ridiculousness.. she claims to be pulling out 90% returns of the notional unleveraged value of the contract.

I'd like to see anyone make 100% returns unleveraged.

A more realistic highwater mark would be 20% to 30% on the notional that's 20k or 30k and could be possible starting with 10k.

Who defines what is realistic or not? :)

So Lucias, there's your "in". Take the challenge and prove she doesn't know what she's talking (with her own dog food, no less!). What's really going to freak you out though is that she's such a nice person, you could post your failures with it and, even then, she would give you pointers on how to improve your results.

Lucias, why not get your friends to write in and vouch for you. Using logic like yours - you don't exist either because we haven't met you. So far NoDoji wins the reality contest hands down.

Do you realize what top-earning traders think when you post something like "I can predict the future". I caution you it is not good.

I have no idea who NoDoji is, but the things that NoDOji writes convinces me of her abilities.

I wonder what Dr. Steenbarger would say of your comments. You appear to have a good mind, why not apply it.

That's like telling me I can only pull $2/day trading my mini gold contract. You don't know what your talking about. I'm averaging $15. That's $300/mnth. More than 200% annualized. And I've only been doing this since about last April. NoD has been at it a few years.

The value of her account isn't really relevant. I can trade my gold with $100. So what's that? A return of more than 3500%?

No wonder more than 90% of small traders lose:

Small traders lose because:

1) Under Capitalized
2) Low Educated

More than 90% of small traders lose! They just lose!

Also, they pretend to be HOT SHOT

Quote from emg:

Small Traders think that they are somehow special and won't be like those 95% losers.

Small Traders believe they are smarter and faster than the other 95% losers or that they have some system that will make them rich.

If u want to play this game and win, don't become a small trader. Small trader catagory is a losing game. u begin as a small trader, u will lose as a small trader and the game is over

Gambling in the Stock Market Stock Market Gambling

- October 19, 1987 will be remembered by most people as Black -Monday-the day that the Dow plunged 508 points. We at the Council will remember it as the day the securities gambler came of age.
Prior to October 19, 1987 calls for help from stock market investors who crossed over the line to compulsive gambling represented 2% of our statewide Helpline 1-800-GAMBLER© calls for help.
In the weeks that followed, stock market gambling calls represented 44% of all hotline calls.

Why play a losing game: High Frequency Trading

Within the last decade, advanced computers have allowed extremely high volume HFT to become a profitable part of financial firms both big and small. Companies that have invested in HFT technology have been rewarded, but for those who have not – including small investors – HFT is neither a plausible or cost-efficient investment approach at this point in time.

I usually dont write alot here on ET ... I just can confirm what cornixforex already said about NoDoji. She is the real deal. She collects her ticks, day in, day out. But only because she can do it, this does not mean everybody can do it. Not everybody can be CEO of IBM. Not everybody can win the Formula 1 GP. It is possible. But it is ALOT of hard work. And maybe even more ...

And if you are struggling ... dont allow yourself to become a negative person, doubting and questioning everything other people achieve. Try to give your best. And maybe ask for some help. There are some very kind and gentle people around here. And NoD is a prime example for this.

Have a great weekend all !
