Why didn't the truly strong and steady one say, "Let's talk?"

Proved the ET Ignore function working properly!

Sometimes people would think for so many recent years how many wars the US did actually win, politically, economically and militarily?

US allies, adversaries urge caution on North Korea

Sewell Chan

http://www.theage.com.au/world/us-a...e-caution-on-north-korea-20170812-gxusgr.html

"I am convinced that a verbal escalation will not contribute to a resolution of the conflict," Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany told journalists in Berlin. "I also see no military resolution to the conflict."

Russia's foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov, said that Moscow was "very alarmed" by talk of pre-emptive military action by the United States. "Unfortunately, the rhetoric in Washington and Pyongyang is now starting to go over the top," Lavrov said. "We still hope and believe that common sense will prevail."

... ...

"I believe when it actually comes to a fight, the one that is stronger and smarter should take the first step away from the dangerous line," Lavrov said. "Together with China, Russia offered a very reasonable plan providing for the 'double freeze.' Kim Jong-un freezes any nuclear tests, any ballistic missile launches, while the US and South Korea freeze large-scale military exercises, which are constantly used by North Korea as an excuse to conduct tests."

Russian experts worry that while the United States is unlikely to launch an all-out military attack on North Korea, it could make a limited strike. This, warned Vladimir I. Batyuk, of the Institute for US and Canadian Studies in Moscow, would shatter the united front that Russia, China and the United States displayed in the sanctions vote at the United Nations.

"If the Americans apply military force against the DPRK, they will clearly lose whatever political support Moscow and Beijing have provided so far for US policy toward North Korea," Batyuk told Kommersant, a Russian newspaper, using the initials for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the formal name of the North.

Budget deficit and national debt

The U.S. fiscal position changed dramatically for the worse during the Bush years. CBO projected in its January 2001 baseline that the U.S. would have a total of $5.6 trillion in annual surpluses over the 2002-2011 decade, assuming the laws in place during the Clinton era continued and the economy performed as expected. However, the actual deficits during those years ended up being $6.1 trillion, a negative swing of $11.7 trillion. Two recessions, two wars, and tax cuts were the primary drivers of the differences.

The fact/evidence is Trump today is still playing Golf, instead of asking a special war budget from the congress. Acts are much clearer than Words - Too obvious!

Did anyone comment that Trump was Weak when saying that last time? If yes, where is the source, please?

Trump this time could have well said, " The military is ready - Locked and Loaded. Now Let's Talk!".

when someone has nukes pointed at your country and threatens to use them.
And talking has failed for 25 years...
Which could be considered appeasement and encourage the lunatic to go forward.
There is no necessarily correct response.

Because our previous presidents were either cowards or traitors to our cause... we are no left with brinksmanship which could lead to war or do nothing which could lead to the same thing.

our previous presidents have left the world in a terrible situation.
and world leaders also share in the blame for arming that sob.

but I hope we can all see what a traitor Obama is to have given Iran billions of dollars and the protection of a treaty to bring their missile program up to speed and bring their nuke program up to the zero lag time for a a bomb.

Since you think previous Presidents should have gone to war to stop NK I'm sure you will be signing up to fight if Trump does it :)

Why didn't the truly strong and steady one say, "Let's talk?"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_North_Korea

Finally, Kim could be proved later being the Real truly strong and steady one. By naming a figure - in the range of say $5 Billion, plus extra supports for an industrialisation plan worth of funding say $1 Billion per year for several years.

Or

When too many North Korean citizens in the future will be fairly wealthy, healthy and worthy, why would they like any wars - When most of their generals and citizens know of a promising peace-building plan like this?

Today is already 21st century:

Trump would not talk because he likes eating beautiful pieces of cake while launching missiles.

New Ad Shows Trump in His Own Words: 'I Love War.' 'Nuclear ... Is Very Important to Me.'

This will leave a mark: the pro-Hillary Clinton Super PAC Priorities USA has gone back to the vast reserve of damaging Donald Trump statements for a new ad titled “I love war.” And yes, that’s a Trump line used in the ad.

Trump’s words run over images of the Vietnam War, of Islamic militants, of a mushroom cloud.

"I'm really good at war, I love war, in a certain way."

"—including with nukes. Yes, including with nukes.”

"I know more about ISIS than the generals do, believe me."

“Nuclear, just the power, the devastation, is very important to me.”

“I want to be unpredictable.”

What’s getting predictable here is the string of ads using Trump’s own words to brutal effect.

NBC News reports that the ad will be backed by a $5 million buy and will air in Ohio, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, and Iowa. Watch it below.

No one is more prone to imagining how well they would have behaved in conflicts that they never experienced than modern American 'conservatives'.
