Why creation science is an oxymoron

Who is actually shoving God (yes, God...not god, like in "In God We Trust") in your face?

Who is demanding you go to Heaven? I doubt you will not find any theists here who actually cares if you burn in eternal Hell or not...

You reaction below seems...well...it seem very reactive without cause...

Could you be projecting anger and resentment from your past onto the present time?

Quote from kut2k2:

As long as you keep shoving your god in my face, you damn well better be able to prove it or own up to the fact that you can't. If you believe because it makes you feel good, then man up and admit that. But stop demanding that everybody share in your personal fantasy about how the world works. Some of us have better things to do with our lives.

Kindly point out when I've done either to you.

No, it means the dictionary is by no means perfect. There are circular definitions. Atheists feel no need to be constrained by a dictionary that can't even give a logical and straightforward definition for god.

A dictionary can't give a logical and straightforward definition of thoughts, or mind without being fully circular...

...and you can't even define atheism without first having an understanding of God.
You're talking nonsense again, as you always do sooner or later on this topic. "God" is a word. The dictionary can't give a straightforward, logical definition of words? Then it's not really a dictionary. I've already defined atheism. If you aren't paying attention, whose fault is that? (hint: not mine.)

By the way, I bet YOU can't give a logical and straightforward definition of god. Not God ... god. Just because you're a monotheist, that's no excuse for not thinking outside your little box. Or is it? :D :D

Define nonsense without a reference to sense...

God is a name, not just a word. God is understood in every language by a different word, but God remains God.

god is a being that is not God, typically a being with limited power or limited scope. There is only one God, there are many gods.

How about you and the other anti-evolutionists demanding that creationism be taught in science classes? You keep acting like evolution has no more credibility than the Loch Ness monster, despite a mountain of evidence to the contrary.

For that matter, how about "In God we trust" on my money? The Founding Fathers didn't put it there. That crap didn't come along until much later.

I personally have never demanded that creationism be taught in science classes. My suggestion is simple. Teach no creationism, and no unprovable theory of the origin of life. Or teach them both. To favor one or the other, funded by taxpayer money, is essentially propagation by the government of one religious belief over another...and yes, atheism has already been designated by the courts as a religion.

Your definition of god just included ME as a god. FAIL! :D :D

Obviously you believe in something that you can't even coherently define or describe. And you wonder why so many people disagree with you. :p

You are not a god of your own thoughts?

If not you, then whom?

I believe in something that you don't believe in, just as a deaf from birth person doesn't believe in the value of music in their life...

IOW you don't realize that evolution and abiogenesis are two separate things. There are many theists who believe in evolution.

Like I said, the government already promotes monotheism over every other religious belief, in clear violation of the US Constitution. They've been doing it for decades.

And if atheism is a religion, where's my tax exempt status?
