Those who benefit most from stop-and-frisk are law-abiding minorities. And anyone who is stopped and frisked who hasn’t committed a crime has nothing to fear.

Just because it works doesn’t make it right. Dude, I’m as conservative as can be but police pulling over people to check for anything, stopping and frisking people on the streets without any probable cause, just because they want to, is wrong. Plain Wrong!

No one wants a police state, the freedoms we cherish come with a price. Our judicial system is designed to prevent an innocent person from being convicted, not apprehend every criminal at the expense of the innocent.

But we don’t get to pick and choose what constitutional rights are applied to the innocent, either they all apply or our constitution means nada. If we can’t detain, search an innocent person without probable cause (violate a persons 4th), we can’t deny or restrict an innocent persons 2nd.

There’s lots that can be done inside the frame work of our constitution but that’s a different subject.

I will say it doesn’t start with defunding the police and vilifying them at every turn.

What's that have to do with protecting them from predators?

They need more protection if there is a lack of effective voice and talent in their communities, not less.
