Why are Black runners so much faster than whitey?

Quote from PHOENIX TRADING:

Your point is?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the point. You and Mav88 promote Rushton r/K theory.

"In ecology, r/K selection theory relates to the selection of combinations of traits in an organism that trade off between quantity and quality of offspring. The focus upon either increased quantity of offspring at the expense of individual parental investment, or reduced quantity of offspring with a corresponding increased parental investment, varies widely, seemingly to promote success in particular environments. In this context, r-selection makes a species prone to numerous reproduction at low cost per an individual offspring, while K-selected species expend high cost in reproduction for a low number of more difficult to produce offspring. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R/K_selection_theory

Then Mav88 tell you "keep breeding" from this thread. Hmm really?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quote from PHOENIX TRADING:

btw : As clarification my IQ is nothing to write home about but I do come from a family with high IQ's

My sister and father would easily test as genius level.
Two of her 3 daughters(no boys) have already tested as genius , the third hasn't been tested (too young).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quote from Mav88:[/i

well that's good, keep breeding, however it's what you do with that counts. IQ is a prequisite, not valuable in itself other than you may tend to be more civilized

That we are promoting Rushton r/K theory is a rather spurious accusation.

Once again I'll ask you "So what's your point?"

Hmm? Ok.
This is you. You promote this book Bell Curve.

Quote from PHOENIX TRADING:

Correct and it's quite well documented throughout the web.

2 good books on cognitive differences and social issues are
http://www.amazon.com/Bell-Curve-Intelligence-Structure-Paperbacks/dp/0684824299

and
http://www.amazon.com/The-Global-Bell-Curve-Inequality/dp/1593680287

(not as good, as the book above, but clearly shows it's not unique to the US . Also I think it more clearly links low IQ to violence , poverty, shorter life span and criminal behavior.

Then Mav88 promote Rushton here.

But???

"In addition, even if the theory itself were reliable,
Rushton has applied it incorrectly to describe the supposed genetic tradeoffs he wishes
to explain. This can be demonstrated by examining the following:
1 the history and formulation of density dependent selection theory;
2 the critical experiments that falsified the central predictions of r- and K-selection
theory;
3 the attempt of Rushton to apply r- and K-theory to human life history evolution;
4 the inadequacy of Rushton’s data to test any specific hypothesis concerning the
evolution of human life histories.
The Bell Curve relied heavily on Rushton and cited him 11 times in its bibliography.
Herrnstein and Murray wrote in Appendix 5:
Rushton argues that the differences in the average intelligence test scores among East
Asians, blacks, and whites are not only primarily genetic but part of a complex of
racial differences that includes such variables as brain size, genital size, rate of sexual
maturation, length of menstrual cycle, frequency of sexual intercourse, gamete production,
sexual hormone levels, the tendency to produce dizygotic twins, marital
stability, infant mortality, altruism, law abidingness, and mental health. For each
variable, Rushton has concluded that the three races – Mongoloids, Caucasoids, and
Negroids – fall in a certain order. (Herrnstein and Murray, 1994: 642)
On the face of it, Race, Evolution, and Behavior presented a seamless argument for
evolutionary origins of modern racial differences. However, its arguments rely on a
series of dubious, if not absurd, assumptions. First, we must question whether r- and
K-selection theory is a valid model for understanding life history evolution; secondly,
whether human populations can be legitimately grouped into the ‘racial’ categories
described in this book; and finally, whether the way Rushton collected and organized
his data actually tested genetic hypotheses concerning human life history variation.
The answer to all of these questions is no. J.P. Rushton’s program purportedly explaining
human ‘racial’ variation is a case study in how not to investigate evolutionary explanations concerning life histories. Ironically, Rushton and his supporters have
attempted to seize the ‘evolutionary and scientific’ high ground in defending these
theories (see, for example, Rushton, 1998). Actually, we must vigorously oppose Rushtonism
due to his blatant distortion of the methods of evolutionary biology in general
and life history theory in particular."

("The Bell Curve relied heavily on Rushton and cited him 11 times in its bibliography.")
I haven't studied rushton r/k theory.
and hardly see how that relates to the differences in racial IQ
In ecology, r/K selection theory relates to the selection of combinations of traits in an organism that trade off between quantity and quality of offspring. Neither mode of propagation is intrinsically superior, and in fact they can coexist in the same habitat, as in rodents and elephants.
"So what's your point?"

The main thing is, it only takes one "black" guy smarter than Mav88 (presumably "white") to demonstrate that we're all close enough to each other in intelligence to learn to live together.

So what is your point to promote people that use the r/K theory?

hey babbling idiot, I said I presented the article only to show that it is acceptable for white people to talk about race and IQ. You have a real problem with reading comprehension, understanding and procesing statements made by others.

This r-K stuff has NOTHING to do with what I have said, just like your pretend worlds also have nothing to do with reality. By the way you converse you are either drunk or you don't speak english. I'm not going to explain myself again to a cypher, you can go back and try to understand
