Pretty sure we dont need to worry about vietnamese billionaires coming into the country, and living off the system, and causing problems, Im all for allowing any billionaire who wants to come to states being allowed in, or any millionaire, or any person with a degree from a prominent university, basically anyone who will add value, but thats not exactly what we are getting from the people sneaking across the border now is it?
It isnt difficult to get a visa in the states and or a tax payer ID, and live there provided you are actually going to pay taxes, i know, i did it for a couple years. Those are the people we (the western world) should be allowing in.
The european model of allowing any rag tag illiterate person who wants to come into the country with zero vetting is clearly failing.
if you read the article posted he emigrated at 31 and was sponsored IE he was not a billionaire at the time of his emigration, rather he was probably penniless.
He also did it legally. And he had a support network, (his church) he wasnt just a random running across the border, If you cant even be bothered to do the simplest paper work what are the odds you will become a productive member of society and start filling out tax forms? He also probably wasnt completely illiterate, like the majority of refugees from the middle east, sorry we have enough illiterate people here already we dont need to take on the rest of the worlds problems.
We cant afford to just hollow out every single country that is in poverty, and take them on in the western world, plus those countries seem to keep having much higher birth rates, so the cycle doesnt end, we are just slowly lowering our standard of living.
Your earlier point was, he was a billionaire at the time of emigration and was not mooching off the system, please let's not change the subject.
