The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Protection spoke on Wednesday about evidence that vaccinated people can spread the Covid-19 Delta variant to others, after the nation’s top health agency expanded on its new guidance that fully vaccinated Americans wear masks indoors in certain places.

Rochelle Walensky said “new science” observed in recent days demonstrated that new variants of the coronavirus were transmissible by people who have been fully vaccinated in some cases.

“In recent days I have seen new scientific data from recent outbreak investigations showing that the Delta variant behaves uniquely differently from past strains of the virus that cause Covid-19,” Walensky said on Tuesday, referring to scientists’ discovery of the Delta strain shedding as actively in breakthrough infections as it does in unvaccinated individuals, despite the rarity of breakthrough cases.

“Nobody wants to go backward but you have to deal with the facts on the ground, and the facts on the ground are that it’s a pretty scary time and there are a lot of vulnerable people,” Robert Wachter, chairman of the department of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, told the Washington Post.

Lamar Jackson tested positive for Covid, for the second time. (because it was fun for the first time I guess) He just finished a camp for kids.

He was not vaccinated because fuck multi million dollar contracts. It will be interesting to see how it effects his playing ability, since Cam Newton's went down after catching the virus.

The public only hears about reinfections if the person is famous or a celebrity. Thus, I know there are more reinfections out there but the U.S. government only started keeping track of such when Biden Administration took over.

My brother's hospital in South Dakota only started keeping track of reinfections about 3 months ago and he's not sure how many there have been so far. I personally only know of one reinfection...Army buddy retired/infected in Kentucky last year early in the Pandemic and then reinfected again this year in Missouri.

His 2nd Covid infection was via the Delta Variant but his symptoms were milder in comparison to his 1st infection (hospitalization). He's not vaccinated and assumed he would have longer lasting immunity from his 1st infection.

Hospital system where my wife and 2 of our kids works just announced the vaccine will be mandatory. I gather there is a quite a bit of people losing their minds as a result. Oldest just texted and said a bunch of people are throwing around the "I'm going to quit" stuff. Should be interesting.

I personally know two people who got Covid the last couple of weeks and both of them were vaccinated a few months ago. One of them was in the hospital for 10 days. Go figure.

By the way the sweet spot between vaccinations with the 2 shot versions is about 8 weeks. (most antibodies) So the Brits with their 12 weeks interval are better off than the US or Israel with 3-4 weeks. I personally wanted to get mine around 6 weeks, but then didn't care to wait the extra 2 weeks.

But if someone is just getting the shots now, wait at least 6+ weeks with the 2nd shot. You will be better off.

This is some kind of misunderstanding that the virus bounces off vaccinated people. No, the science and data say that vaccinated people have a MUCH easier time with the virus, most of the time avoiding hospitalization and /or death.

So if he/she was hospitalized for 10 days, he/she probably would have died without the vaccine. I take 10 hospital days over death.

Tested Positive with a high false positive rate which also tests ( CDC just admitted ), Positive for good old Flu aswell, might be false, might be Flu first time or this time, symptoms are the same so you can't tell.

I don't know anyone who's had a hard time with the Virus, infact the worse off have been the jabbed and all the jabbed seem to get it, but they'd been around it before so likely had it without realising, get jabbed then get it again worse, so don't believe a word they say.

6 - 9 months there saying the effect wears off and need rejabbing, for life, for a virus that is no worse than Flu, the at risk fair enough, but all 7billion people on the planet, defo a cull!!

Most people seem not to understand whart the result of the vaccination exactly is. It is not to avoid having the virus, it is to avoid them dying from it and to suffer less.
