Males of many animals - lions and feral cats come to mind first - will kill the babies of other males for the purpose of getting the females back into 'heat' so that they can make their own offspring. And yes. sometimes they will eat them, but not from hunger. Perhaps your bears should be put into this catagory as well ??

Following the killing of four cubs by two adult male bears last week in Leon (see Adult male bears kill four cubs in Leon (Nueva España), FAPAS have highlighted the prevalence of bear infanticide in Asturias , specifically in Somiedo, where eight of the nine bear cubs born in the last eight years have been killed by adult bears. While FAPAS sees infanticide among bears as a natural phenomenon, it considers the rate of incidence to be abnormal.

There is no proof that a fetus has any viability as a consious being during the first trimester. I agree with limited abortions after the first trimester. For the religious fundamentalist nuts. No, they stay as well (especially after that rebuttal of yours), because they reflect my stance that America's standards for the sanctity of human life is seriously twisted. All the above are examples of practices that too many find acceptable, negligible, or both. I don't see the so-called "Right to Life" movement attacking any of those issues. Are the lives of the victims of those practices not "precious"? This shoe fits as well: hypocrisy.

As far as adopting, someday I will probably adopt. I would like to. My wife does not want to have any more children (I do) and does not want to adopt either. So I obviously have a problem on my hands.

I absolutely adore them. I want them to grow up to be productive, loving human beings that respect the rights of others. I want them to grow up in complete control of their own bodies and minds. You say you want children to grow up and be in complete control
of their bodies and minds. Does this include drug use? Drinking
and driving? In our state the legislature just passed a bill that will
face a drunk to go to prison if convicted 5 times in 7 years. Why?
Because if it was 4 times in 7 years there would be over 300+
drunks put into prison. With the bill just passed, it will only amount
to between 20 to 30. So innocent mothers, fathers and children
will die at the hands of drunks to save money.

Thank goodness for our Democratic legislature.

Last year 222 people died at the hands of drunk drivers in our state.

the womb life would stop. Period.

When a woman becomes pregnant, she now carries another life
