Who Is Behind The Riots? Charlotte Police Says 70% Of Arrested Protesters Had Out Of State IDs

I spent about an hour watching a live feed of the riots the other night. Just from my personal observation I would say there were a surprising number of white people in the crowd AND the media was there in overwhelming numbers.

There was one news guy who was absolutely desperate to get his mug on camera with the riot in the background. Does wonders for one's resume and paycheck.

Was this a riot or a staged media event created and aggravated by the media in order to provide copy?

Some other commentary on the connection between the Charlotte riots, BLM and George Soros.

"With Election Day only weeks away, it is possible the chaos in the Tarheel State is part of a left-wing get-out-the-vote effort to foment unrest in the state's black communities. . . .
"Riots, of course, are the stock in trade of radical speculator George Soros, the preeminent funder of the Left who has given generously to Black Lives Matter. Soros has a long history of underwriting violence and civil unrest not just in America but all over the world."
- Matthew Vadum, "Charlotte Burning," Sept. 22, 2016

"Seriously, what are you supposed to do if an angry mob surrounds your car and you're trapped? I guess you can sit and wait for help to arrive, and pray that help arrives in time. But when the angry mob is also trying to throw white people in fires, the help might be too busy to get there in time to save you. So really, what the hell do you do?"
- The Lonely Conservative, "If Your Car Is Surrounded By A Rioting Gang Of Thugs What Do You Do?" Sept. 22, 2016

'It should not be necessary, after a year of CNN-inspired race riots, to explain that #BlackLivesMatter is not a spontaneous grassroots movement about curbing police brutality. The movement launched last year is led by professional activists, funded by a network of "progressive" tax-exempt foundations (connected to billionaire George Soros) in consultation with Democrat Party operatives. A major goal of #BlackLivesMatter is purely political - i.e., driving black voter turnout to help elect Hillary Clinton and other Democrats - and also to influence public policy, to undermine law enforcement and, arguably, to infringe free speech protections. (Glenn Reynolds has been suspended from USA Today for his "run them down" tweet.) By inciting riots in the black community, the Left simultaneously incites fear in the white community, and when white people condemn the kind of criminal violence #BlackLivesMatter inspires - first in Ferguson, then in Baltimore, most recently in Charlotte - this response is labeled "racism." No one can credibly claim Professor Reynolds is a racist, and yet his "run them down" tweet made him a target of the Thought Police, and the online progressive bully mob turned its rage against him. Thus are the limits of discourse increasingly narrowed in a way that favors the Democrat Party.
This is not an accident.'

I would say I tend to agree with those comments gwb posted. BLM had a valid point, ie that some police are awfully trigger happy. Six police officers should be able to arrest an unarmed guy without killing him. A guy should survive a ride in the van to jail. A kid with a fake gun should not be gunned down. A wacked out teen who is not a threat to officers should not be shot just because they can claim he made a furtive move.

The problem is, BLM didn't stop there. They are making a clear effort to stoke racial and anti-police violence. Then they scream racism at anyone who objects. That is not a plan designed to change minds. It is a plan designed to rev up black voters and to gain power for the activists under threat of more riots.

Unfortunately, you have to have thought about this stuff for more than 15 seconds to see that. If you form your opinions by what celebs tweet and what you pick up from TV news, you see it totally differently.

Interesting twist...

Charlotte police union official acknowledges ‘I didn’t quote facts’ on out-of-state protesters
http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/local/article103751931.html

A spokesman for Charlotte’s Fraternal Order of Police told CNN that 70 percent of the protesters arrested in Charlotte this week were from out-of-state. But he acknowledged Friday that his statement was nothing more than speculation.

It was also inaccurate, according to a Charlotte Observer review of police reports.

[Those arrested during protest: Most local, most without criminal records]

Of the 43 people arrested late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, 34 – or 79 percent – live in Charlotte, the Observer found. Most of the others live elsewhere in North Carolina, including Albemarle, Gastonia and Greensboro. Three others were arrested Thursday night; of those, two were from Charlotte and the third had not been identified by midafternoon Friday.

“I didn’t quote facts,” Todd Walther, spokesman for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fraternal Order of Police told the Observer on Friday. “It’s speculation. That’s all it was.”

Obama is responsible. Obama is the leader of BLM just like he was the leader of the failed Occupy Wall Street movement. Obama is a community organizer and riots are what community organizers plan. Obama did most of his community organizing in Chicago and look at the mess he created there.
