Which way will you choose, more bottom up or more top down?

Quote from RCG Trader:

We would talking about a scenario where taxes are down because revenues are down because employment is down. When that happens, should the government say, "good luck with that" or should they do something?
Say "good luck with that".

Quote from Artful D0dger:

Most "public works" are funded from local gas taxes, property taxes, and sales taxes. "Again study".

It's hard to have a serious discussion with someone who's too stupid to know the difference between "flat" taxes and "low" taxes.

If everyone's taxes are flat, at 88%, those are not "low" taxes, but they are still flat. Go contemplate on this profound and sophisticated concept. LOL!!

You failed to answer the question. Please try again.:)

That's not politically viable Lucrum. We will see your senario play out soon enuf. California is going to default without federal help. Illinois will too most likely.

Don't forget Texas.

Quote from Lucrum:

Maybe, but it should be.

That's the point of the discussion really Lucrum. Traders are a self selected, informed and intelligent breed. We understand the fine details of the economy. If we have no answers, then there probably aren't any. That is what I told 777 in so many words, we are past the event horizon. Do you agree?

Quote from Artful D0dger:

Yeah, thanks to the fact they avoid that hocus pocus Keynesian bullshit.

Fine, but they are still in a serious hole. Did they follow Hayek? Why are they in a hole at all?
