If "something" or God, however you wish to call it, would have created a chicken, then that same something would have been responsible of creating us humans and the dinosaurs and the viruses, including aids.
So the chicken was not created, it evolved from something else. Since it was not created then it could have only come from an egg, and chances are that egg came from southern california.
