Where to hideout in the worse-case economic scenario

Quote from Traden4Alpha:

Yes, the team needs good leadership and cohesion. Some teams will fail for the reasons you state, but the teams that don't will grow stronger (and probably attract new members, too).

The economics of marauding does not favor the loner. If each lone survivalist stores a year's worth of food, a marauding band of 10 only needs to find and conquer one survivalist per month (that's plenty of time for scouting and ambushing). A survivalist that stays in cave or underground bunker might be safe. But as soon as the survivalist starts a fire, plants a farm, or even hikes in the woods (e.g., to hunt for game), they will create trackable signs that lead the marauding band right to the hiding location. And the first time the survivalist fires a gun to kill game or fend off an attack, any marauder scouts within miles will know that there's a target in the area.

There's a reason, you don't see any one-person castles in Medieval Europe.
As am i! :)
I agree with you. Being a lone survivalist is spectacularly risky and inefficient. I'm thinking buying amish farmland might be the way to go.

When a convoy of blacked out H1 hummers and Benz G-wagons rolls through, you lone survivalists better go into hiding :D

Yes, and when the convoy rolls over the hidden 6 ft trench in the road, the survivalists will have a nice supper. :D

lol, the only use you will have for that trench is for you to lay in after you run out of berries to nibble on.

I'M considering the Lost Coast of Northern CA. Mendocino ,Ukiah,
Shelter Cove. Believe me, in the case of a famine you would want to be here. The daily harvest of quality seafood is staggering!
Abalone are abundant close to the shoreline.-just look out for sharks!

thats a good suggestion

if things get bad enough, I may try it

I'm going to Tim Geithner's house. The President will protect him no matter what.
Timmy boy also will be sacrificed off with all the other globalist minion elite wannabes......the minions WISH they could be so lucky as to be in the "protected" group. :)

History WILL repeat!

High ground near fertile growing area, and WEST of any nuclear power plants here in the U.S. is the most OPTIMAL area to hunker down IF $hit hits the fan.

Also, a nice sized boat/yacht out in the ocean could work too.....might as well soak up the sun on the coastal waters as everyone else fights over potatoes!

:D

There is also another way to be "mobile" for worst case scenario's, but I will leave that to your imaginations. :)
