Blockchain is used by crypto's. Not an invention from crypto's. Blockchain existed already before BTC.
Why do people always think that BTC is going to become important as they "invented" blockchain? Which they did NOT.
BTC needs blockchain. Blockchain does not need BTC. I know that AXA used blockchain already before BTC existed. And there are surely other companies who used it already too.

I dunno'. It seems, based on the above from Wikipedia, that the idea of a blockchain was first utilized by bitcoin.

You just confirmed that blockchain was INVENTED in 1982 with a second version in 1992. So blockchain existed BEFORE BTC existed. Satoshi improved it maybe, but he did not invent it.

AXA uses blockchain technology but they don't need BTC at all to use the blockchain technology in some of their applications. BTC cannot exist without blockchain technology. Just google it and you will find conrmation.

So my 2 statements are correct.
