Plague is 30-60% death rate, damn snow flakes need to grow some balls.
No one called it a plague so maybe you are just overreacting but if you feel it is no big deal go walk around in London with 30 and stop by a hospital and the ICU ward....

Seriously.
I think the markets know this too.
A person/hr in one fucking hospital?
This is typical of the annual flu?
Exponential growth in deaths will belittle any lowering of "percentage" regarding mortality rate per # of cases. Are you guys that fucking blind?
I mean common sense says if we were out of the woods, a 2.4% bounce on the Dow would be a joke after the last 3 years.
But that doesn't matter. As death rates continue to exponentially rise, and as Americans endure more and more financial hardships, an eventual market recovery further distances itself with each passing day. 2.4% in this market is bearish af.
Ok whatever. But this thread has 15 pages, and the only person here who has even hinted at the bigger picture is Ocho and that's this... our economy is fragile as F.Happens all the time on the highways. A lot of those people don't even make it to the hospital. 3700 a day is the rate. I don't see anyone suggesting we bring the economy to screeching halt because of that.
Look no further than Obama's Chicago if you want to see a high death rate. In Baltimore, even with all this crap going on, the murder rate is up. What are the democrats who run that city doing about it?
By the way, what is the rate of people who have tested positive in the world. It now stands at approximately 1 in 15000. So 1 person tests positive, another 14999 have not and even for the 1 guy who tests positive the overwhelming chances are that he will not die.
Get your facts straight man.

Mortality rate can be 4% or .04%. Like I said, its like the airline stock of old... what they lose on RASM, they make up in volume.
Our economy is going to take a HUGE hit. That's a fact. 2000 on the S&P is a given. This shit is not going away anytime soon.
You guys can bicker all day long over how many people will die etc... I have no idea, I only see what's in front of me. America is just getting started. Its gonna hit small towns across the South very soon. No hospitals, no respirators... people will die. Maybe 99.09% of folks will live... but ya'll gotta see what this is going to do to our economy. Small businesses are gonna go tits up. The $2.3T will be so wrapped up in bureaucratic paperwork that the only folks that'll see any of it will be the likes of the S&P 100.
Ya'll will see, but stay healthy.
Tougher than the rest....
