Yet, you want to shrink government (throw the baby out too, if you will) which you can't do unless the cronies, i.e. the powerful, cooperate. You might have a slim chance (because we in many ways get false choices anyway) with the democratic method if you were broadening your appeal among the voting public, but you're not. Your base is to a precarious degree largely resting on the loyalty of old, "white", wealthy men (interestingly, they physically resemble our cronies) and the fact that your gerrymandering has made a minority of you nearly impossible to kick out of government. Those few are a wrench in the works, they have a kind of anti-power, but they are not a full enough kit to actually repair anything.

3. its not just old white guys... its tax payers and the productive vs cronies... free loaders and govt workers minorities and radicals. If the democrats were so sure about the demographics why are they falling over themselves trying to get amnesty for millions -- they would not need it.

The dems had control of all 3 branches when they passed obamacare without a single GOP vote. Much of the caucus wanted single payer at first... but your leadership made them sell out to the cronies. No surprise, again oh insane one, you miss the essential point which is that NONE of the GOP shitheads were going to vote for single payer. It is the GOP's fault that we don't we don't have single payer, plain and simple. To blame the dems because they were short one vote is absurd.
