Start over with your first post on this subject and try to concentrate this time.
So you have no answer to the question.
Oh, well.
So to summarize:
The GOP is completely against single payer, so we don't have it.
If the dems had large majorities many good things could be done and single payer would be one of them.
The problem with the US today is the Republican'ts. Vote the useless POS's out.
I have a few economic freedom indices that I follow (e.g. ones produced by Heritage and Fraser Institute). They pretty uniformly show that the world's been getting a bit more free, slowly but surely.Evidence? The fact that Central Banks across the globe have, for the first time in modern history (or ever on this scale) engaged in direct and total intervention/manipulation of the markets - that would be my evidence. Trillions and trillions of dollars of fiat printed, massive bailouts on unprecedented scale, Bond buying by nation's own central banks, interest rate suppression, risk distortion like never before, a federal government caused housing crisis, direct regulation fail, etc. and things are getting better.
Why don't you show me where you come to that conclusion?

The Dem's had everything. What did they accomplish with it? A bastardized healthcare program so ridiculous that they couldn't even get their whole party to vote for it without bribes and side room deals.
They just didn't vote for single payer, when they had the house, senate, WH and did not need a single republican vote.So to summarize:
The dems are nearly completely FOR single payer....
