Like, the reason not to short SPY and buy an inverse ETF instead is because of margin? Can this be wrong?

Dividends are seldom if ever the deciding factor unless the plan calls for income off them................................................................................

Likeable gent /with trophy room ,+ trophy wife looked like.
He admitted after bankruptcy\ he wanted to trade/sell some shares , but that would send the wrong message to the public .
LOL that would be a good message\ scale out some, help the market makers/specialist$ + yourself/capital markets. IF i remember right + usually do\ that TX tea shareholder had an elephant trunk in his trophy room; elephant trunk sell signal..........................

Best way to make money in a BEAR MARKET is to just wait it out. Depressions and recessions lasting more than a few quarters are a thing of the past. In the 20's 30's 40's 50's getting info/trading/moving money around is slow and difficult. With today's communications technology, any market that doesn't adapt rapidly and recover rapidly will get killed and succeeded by other markets. Like for example if the NASDAQ goes into a 3 year recession today, Chinese stock exchanges will simply eat up NASDAQ market share, because money moves really fast into and out of any country in today's world! The USA government cannot and will not allow it to happen, which is why a bear market in today's time cannot last more than a few quarters...
