What the US Government should do next:

Bloomberg article talking about curtailing spec in crude oil/commodities.

Maybe they should require a minimum holding period of one month!!! or I still like the idea of banning all selling, period...
 
The government can just issue a list of stocks and futures contracts and whether you can only buy or only sell those securities. So for financials you can only buy now. For oil futures, you can only sell. Best of both worlds! Efficient markets here we come!
