You see, to me that sounds very much like BLAMING BOTH SIDES- something that Trump is not allowed to do. Not sure exactly who Trump said should be assassinated such that he is as responsible for that type of comment as she is but whatever.

A once revered liberal principle was that they might disagree vehemently with what you said, but they would defend your right to say it.

Somehow that has become "wear a MAGA hat in public and risk a mob attack." And liberals seem perfectly ok with that.

That's not "whataboutism." It's pointing out that progressives have abandoned their own principles and now seem to champion the lynch mob, whether it is doxxing someone or harassing them or just beating them up.

Thoughtful onlookers cannot help but draw parallels to other Marxist utopia and how they came to power. Generally, it did not involve a ballot box or if it did, it was a one-time use only thing. We can see that while the democrat party and their media allies like having shock troops, they way underestimate their ability to control you.

You cannot form any moral basis or give any kind of justification to white supremacist neo-Nazi racists, which is apparently what you are still trying to do. Everyone knows what they stand for, what their agenda is. They are only to be condemned period.

Blaming liberals, lefties or progressives or arguing about free speech or whatever doesn't wash one bit. It only makes you look like an apologist who would defend or condone a universally rejected extreme type of hatred.

You miss the whole point of a dissenting view, no matter how hateful YOU say it is. Why does anyone's opinion/view need to meet your moral basis in order to be heard? You lump all of these alt-right groups as "hate" groups. Yet many are only advocating for what they see as slights to their rights. Using your logic, any group I oppose has no moral standing and therefore has no free speech rights. I'm opposed to abortion on demand...Planned Parenthood has no moral standing to disagree with me. I'm opposed to black "hate" groups like the New Black Panthers...they have no moral standing and must be silenced. It has nothing to do with how YOU perceive their message. They still have a right to free speech.

Their reaction is not surprising. There seems to be a human need for violence and subjugation of those who disagree. It's also not surprising that the most aggressive and violence -prone tend to be the angry women. Of course, they run crying the minute someone shoves them.

The blame lies with the authorities who let these thugs take over their streets. Ultimately the blame lies with the Supreme Court of the Warren era, which foolishly interpreted the First Amendment to allow riots posing as demonstrations. Of course they were acting to advance "civil rights", so like stu, they thought anything was justified. Birds come home to roost.
