Why does anyone's opinion/view need to meet your moral basis in order to be heard?
Using your logic, any group I oppose has no moral standing
Yeah nice dodge to you too. Who said that any group I (or you) oppose has no moral standing? I didn't.
I was talking about white supremacist neo-Nazi racists having no moral standing, no moral equivalency to those who stand against them.
Shouting out 'free speech' doesn't give them one. Blaming "lefty" violence doesn't give them one.
Twisting both logic and my argument and putting words in my mouth won't give them one either.
You have to ask yourself, would you be making a bunch of whatabout excuses for evil in the form of ISIS should they show up waving black flags and the Koran at a Confederate statue instead of the swastika flags and tiki torches there?
When violence had flared up would the first thing you say, as President about the situation be, "there are two sides to the story".
The instinct to overwhelmingly denounce Islamic radical group for even being there as a group at any demonstration should be the message. Calling it by its name. Evil.
The instinct to overwhelmingly denounce white supremacist for even being there as a group at any demonstration should be the message. Calling it by its name. Evil.
This President's instinct is clearly not to call out the bigotry hatred and racism white supremacists exist for but is to divert attention onto those opposing , suggesting equivalence and tacit approval to alt-right hate tactics. Worried about his base any?
Fhl doesn't count having clearly fallen out of his tree, yet you and AAA who perhaps should but obviously don't know better, do not or seemingly cannot unequivocally call white supremacy by its name. Evil.
Something Trump didn't or couldn't do either but the vast majority of Republicans can and do not allow moral ambiguity to creep between white supremacists hate and all those who oppose them.
Oh and btw like many, as Trump feels the backlash, rewrites what he said about Charlottesville and rehashes his position, I also recognize him as the crude, divisive, unstatesmanlike, bloated abject congenital liar and narcissist that he is, and the Groper in Chief President who is quite possibly crazy.
It doesn't make me a lefty liberal to agree. Plenty republicans recognize him as the same and worse you know.
Unlike Trump most people generally understand why there can be no moral ambiguity here despite political views. And why, where white supremacists are concerned, there is no "both sides".
