Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer declared the city the “capital of the resistance” at a rally held in January following the election of President Donald Trump.
So the commies and the BLM racists are now just destroying public property without any consequence. Listen, I don't much care for the idea that Confederate statues are still being used as some symbol to be idolized, but they are a part of our nations history. They could and should be taken down and then put in museums as historical artifacts. And they are still public property which you can't just decide to destroy, at least not until now. Remember when the Taliban blew up huge statues of in Afghanistan because they said the statues promoted idolatry? ISIS blowing up temples and statues in Iraq. The Soros funded commies and BLM are no different, no different at all. Next they'll be burning down the houses of people they don't like and of course the left will say they're justified. They'll say it's retribution for Klan members burning down houses in the past, and then they become exactly like the people they "protest" against. Frankly, they are the other side of the same coin already. All of them racist. All of them bigoted. All of them guilty of hate speech and violence. Just because your ancestors were slaves gives you no right to destroy property. And the other side needs to get it through their thick f'n skulls that the civil war is over, long over. You look and sound like a bunch of god damn fools still fighting it, and you have no right to violent outbursts just because your great, great, grand daddy got his ass kicked several decades ago, and your petty grievances about some bullshit about how the war was fought is meaningless. And the Nazis. WTF? Just kick the shit out of those numbskulls. But these rioters from the left need to be dealt with and right quick. Time to start sending their asses to jail, and not just for the night.

Activists and protesters who attended a rally Monday night to coax officials to remove a Confederate statue that's been moored in front of Durham, North Carolina's old courthouse since 1924 decided to do it themselves.
The toppled statue depicts a Confederate soldier wielding a muzzle rifle and lugging a canteen and bedroll, and is dedicated "in memory of the boys who wore gray."
As Monday evening's demonstration went on, protesters surrounded the base of the erected soldier. Video circulating online showcased the swelling protesters, many in chorus shouting: "We, we are the revolution!" followed by "You can't stop the revolution."
Some demonstrators held up handwritten, charged screeds on cardboard that read "Stop Calling the Cops" and "Fight your Local Nazis," and one bluntly: "F--- yo statue” as they closed in on the the cast metallic Confederate monument.
Some protesters rested a ladder and looped a rope around the statue before yanking the soldier from its concrete perch.

Funny how a group just as revolting as the nazis gets zero coverage in the press. There is a small segment of people on the right who support these nazi's yet i bet if you were to ask the left, that they would almost universally support the same crew of extremists on their side.

On Tuesday morning, NPR’s Morning Edition skipped over an inconvenient part of a leftist chant as they ripped down a statue honoring the Conferate soldier in Durham, North Carolina. Jeff Tiberii of NPR affiliate WUNC-FM began by reporting:
TIBERII: As chants of ‘No KKK, No Fascist USA’ bounced off the old county courthouse in Durham, yellow rope was tied around a statue of a Confederate soldier. It was then pulled to the ground, and the crowd erupted. (Cheers and screaming). Some demonstrators took turns kicking, screaming, and extending middle fingers toward the monument.
Tiberii left out an important third of the slogan, the first third: “No cops.” He and NPR were exposed by a liberal-media colleague, Los Angeles Times reporter Jaweed Kaleem:
The same day, demonstrators in Durham, N.C., cheered as they used a lasso to topple a 15-foot statue of a Confederate soldier and started kicking its head.
“No cops, no KKK, no fascist USA!” and “We are the revolution!” they chanted.
The statue had stood since 1924 with a dedication to “the boys who wore the gray.”
Protesters held up a sign reading “NO TRUMP, NO KKK, NO FASCIST USA.” NPR didn’t mention the “No Trump” part, either.
The local Durham Herald-Sun team reported the Trump sign as a chant, and notice that the demonstrators are on the dictatorial fringes of the radical left:

“Tactics are changing, which means that our strategies need to change, our unity needs to escalate and our demands to fight back and resist domestic terror needs to escalate,” said Eva Panjwani with the Workers World Party Durham.
As the crowd swelled to more than 100 people, the protesters circled the statue of the soldier holding a muzzle-loading rifle and chanted “No Trump! No KKK! No fascist USA!”
Groups at the rally included members of the Triangle People’s Assembly, Workers World Party, Industrial Workers of the World, Democratic Socialists of America and the antifa movement.
“This is a really an opportunity, this moment of Charlottesville to see what side of history we are choosing to side with,” Panjwani said. “This is not a call to make someone to feel guilty or ashamed. This is a call to say this is an ask from people of color to say which side are you on.”
Conversations about loving your neighbor have not worked, she said.
Alissa Ellis, of the Workers World Party Durham branch that was a participant in the Charlottesville protest, said people need to embrace multiple tactics because that is what kept her safe.
“We need to shun passive, white liberalism” that elevates whites voices over black and brown voices, she said.
For people who don’t know, the WWP is a communist party, so the chanting against oppression sounds a little tinny. Their website currently sticks up for North Korea’s “need” for a nuclear deterrent against the capitalists. The cop-hatred is right there in their national party's statement on Charlottesville:
...the police and other repressive forces of this capitalist “democracy” are no protection against the ultra-right. On Aug. 14, youths in Durham, N.C., tore down a Confederate statue with their own hands, expressing their fury at the murder in Charlottesville.
Long live the independent struggle of this new progressive movement against the fascists, the cops and the capitalist establishment!
If these people weren't communists, it would be a little weird that the Left would rip on the policemen, when the cops actually stood around and let them rip this statue down with no arrests.
NPR just whitewashed these communists as somehow non-ideological. They began the story by reporting “A group of activists” ripped down a statue, and the online story was headlined “Activists Topple Confederate Monument In North Carolina.” Tiberii concluded by noting “in North Carolina, state lawmakers passed a measure banning municipalities from removing these statues. On Monday night in Durham, the people took the matter into their own hands. For NPR, I’m Jeff Tiberii in Durham, North Carolina.”

Government's most basic function is to maintain civil order. Increasingly, in cities run by radical leftists, eg Charlottesville, Durham, Minneapolis, Portland, Berkeley, the police seemed to be under orders to facilitate rioting, not to contain it. They only sprung into action if victims defended themselves.
Now it has extended to destroying public property. What's next? This clearly is not going to end well.
The problem is what do you do when the government hands over the city to radical thugs? Do you wring your hands and denounce both sides, like CO. Or do you fight back? And if you do fight back, you can expect the full weight of the justice system to come down on you.
And then a lifetime of "life" inside me speaks up....
"They want people to be upset. You can't see that? Thats the game. Don't be played".
