Not defending Trump. He has proven to be a bust so far. Great deal maker can't get a deal done leaves me less than impressed. However, on the issue of race relations I know who the enemy is and it ain't Trump. Radical left been stirring this pot for decades. Charlotte situation just another example of that. Add in the pathetic way the police handled it and the only thing that surprised me was that more people weren't hurt. That young womans parents should sue the shit out of that city. She died as a result of their gross negligence, but I'm sure they didn't "intend" for anyone to get hurt.

When I found out about these last American riots, I simply could not help thinking of the parents and family and friends grief. In some countries, the right of rioting is so much repected that whenever there is just one death, basically, it is the whole country that raise in such a way that politicians are so scarred to save their skin, that they start firing politicians, police officers and resigning in mass. True that in some countries, they did not hesitate to decapitate all their ruling families, so politicians
know what line not to cross : the life of a rioter is precious. No matter what the rioters' beliefs are.

And here, as in many cases previously, none of that. No public escuses at all from any of the alt-right people. These are the one expected to make the first public apologies as the guy who run into the crowd was from this obedience.

Trump made late condoleances. I assumed that he kept his reserve all along, looks like no.
I would have assumed, like in some other countries, that his first word would have been full and complete condoleance for the parents' dead person.

I suppose this is cultural difference when it comes to the right of riotings.

Oh, I know all too well about that. I have a little one who keeps coming into our bed in the middle of the night. We have a big California King, but I find myself getting crowded out of the bed to the point where I pack up my pillow and head to the guest room. It's too much of a hassle at 2AM to argue it, but I think I've got to because that's the only way it's going to stop!

This must be new. I think his advisors finally convinced him to be rational.

EDIT: It is new. Came out at 1pm, two days after his initial comments and White Supremacists were rejoicing. Daily Storm saying they will do more and bigger Charlottevilles. Other's saying how Trump loves them. Maybe this will temper this whole issue. Maybe it's too little too late.

Maybe he wanted to get fully briefed to understand what happened before he came out with a statement. True, that wouldn't be Trump - he fires from the hip.

Either way, it had to be said and it was said. Now can we go back to real world problems?
