Single only reason is its huge community base. There are virtually tons of tons of free indicators and EAs out there. None of them is really helpful to make real money though.

Whereas many trading platforms are slow and hard to use, MetaTrader 4 is extremely user friendly. It has an intuitive user interface, making navigation easy from the very beginning. It’s already hard enough to learn forex trading so you shouldn’t have to stress about the trading platform as well.
