What is your "TRADING HOLY GRAIL"?

Funny someone dragged this out of the basement. Truth be known it was really a joke because i am always the guy that laughs at those that say, "you should never say what your favorite signals, tactics, strategy, EDGE is because of you reveal it to others the mkt will make it useless"

The mkt cares less about "YOUR" edge or mine. I have enough posts and been in chat long enough for everyone to know i have no secrets, i have NO holy grail, i have repeated my signals etc over and over many a time. I change when the mkt changes, do i have losses, you betcha, am i a good trader, double you betcha.

One thing i know for sure, if you want a few to go back in history and dig through your old posts in a vain attempt to discredit you because you do not see eye to eye with someone else (guess who) just do as i do and speak your mind and post. .:eek: I have spent my entire life speaking my mind and see no reason to stop now.. :D I have been spanked a few times because of that but i am who i am and many a person feel that is a wonderful credit and say the world would be better if more were that way.

There are no secrets in trading, it all is out there and has been out there forever. The exchanges etc pass on many successful traders "goodie box" of tools for everyone simply because new blood and new fools are required to keep the game going. I was a fool when i started out also so i tell all of how i trade and others might do the same and except constructive criticism as "HELPFUL" rather than roll up in a ball and continue their losing ways.

THERE AINT NO SECRETS, YOUR EDGE IS ALL YOU CAN HOPE FOR. Once you develope your edge....MILK IT!!!!!!

I remember being told by a friend who is a special forces anti-terrorist operative of something his commander said...

"Everyone wants the bacon, but somebody has to cut the pigs throat".

My holy grail is keeping my trading knife sharp, sharp, sharp...

somebody is going to bleed and it 'ain't gonna be me.
 
Many fail to comprehend that 90% of the individual "EDGE" is between the ears. Psychology and money management are biggest player in trading.

Picking signals and entry is the easy part. .. :)
 
one final thought before mkt opens

If you have hesitation "pulling the trigger" your EDGE is not yet developed, the skillset is lacking. Gonna need more time to get rid of the "FEAR" when it comes time to enter the mkt. You are still not sure about the odds relative to your signals and have no confidence in yourself.

Thats time, takes time. You need more losses to work on the $$$management and head games before you are ready for those famous words on Broadway.............. "SHOW TIME girls, LETS SEE MORE LEG" .. :cool: :cool: :cool:
 
The most important thing in trading is simply what you "SEE".

Winning traders "see" things that losing traders don't "see". All traders make trading decisions based on what they "see".

What they "see" determines what's going on between their ears.

Confidence in trading is based on "clear sight".

The most effective way, I know to having "clear sight", is not to be a follower.

If all you "see" is what the masses "see", then you will get what the masses get.

Creativity is the first step to becoming a Leader and not a Follower.

There's nothing wrong with stepping out of the "canned world" of limiting "boxes" and seeing things in new ways.

To be a Great Trader, you further away from that box you can get, the better off you will be.
