T tatsimon Dec 27, 2006 #17 I have a question regarding %'s For futures, does one use margin requirments to calculate % performance? If i trade the ES contract, which has a margin requirment of 2000$ lets say, and make 2000$ in one year, does that mean I have made 100%? thanks

I think it was in perspective. As the account size grows, being able to produce a good return becomes more difficult. Returning 78% on a penny stock is easy compared to trading hundreds of round lots a year.
