I am much too ignorant of a man to listen to the opinions of others and then take them as my own....I prefer to stumble onto my own opinions.

As far as your brief synopsis of American history, I would offer that all endeavors of men tend to degenerate from their initial "lofty" objectives, governments tend to degenerate at a quicker pace.

Whew, I was worried for a minute that everything any president of the USA ever signed was truth.

If a president wrote it then it was after the fact of the creation of this country and cannot be taken as fact without further proof.

This was from the treaty we signed with the Barbary Pirates. You might notice it says the "government" of the US is not founded on the Christian religion. The country itself was clearly founded by Christians, and the writings of the Founding Fathers leave little doubt that they thought Christian principles were essential to the country functioning successfully. The Supreme Court stated in a case decided long after the Barbary Pirates treaty that the US was a Chrsitian country.

BTW, arent red states the biggest welfare recipient states?I know Alaska which is headed by a jesus idiot is Number 1 or close to it for welfare.I think this is true for most red states.
Without california and new york all these lazy ass redneck t bags would have to cancel their nascar cable tv.

Alaska consistently ranks in the top 3 states in this country for taking federal hand-outs, however part of that has to do with the fact that 20% of Alaskan's are Native Americans as well as the fact that the Feds own ( and must look after 60% of Alaska's land.

But I think you might be right about the Nascar part!
