then why do you post if all you have to show for (well you did not show even you just told and we gave you the benefit of the doubt) is 1 year of track record? How does that even qualify as an example of someone who claims to be a successful day trader?

If people can't guarantee me a winner, why should I pay them to post a trade ? What will I be getting for my money ?
Happy to take your money, but as previously stated most if trades are posted live in my journal.

3 possible profitable traders:
1 refuses to post a trade because he may reveal his method
1 refuses to post a trade because he wants payment of a fee that exceeds my disposable income
1 took 100k to 10k, but he will be profitable this time next year

I can't speak for others but I've been fairly consistent after a few adjustments in 2009 when I had losses, thought not catastrophic. Not saying I do 200% or millions PA but outperforming the market with good risk metrics. I've been trading since 2005 and I have been a full-time trader since 09.
I just saw a false blanket statement made by ExperiencedJoe and felt I needed to correct him but apparently I stirred something else.
I've had series of losses, 40-50 losing trades in a row. I wouldn't give you the satisfaction with that in mind even thought my month and quarter would produce very nice returns.
This is a marathon, not a sprint.
Also, what do I have to gain by claiming to be long-term profitable? My nickname here is pretty random and barely anyone here knows my real name or even where I'm from. I do not sell any services nor seek capital. What's my motivation besides calling out the untruths?
Atleast 4 , 1 of them, being ME offered vaguely to get you started, but no, not interested, what you want is someone to tell you what to trade that you can test and trade live off, cheating and short term as they will stop sharing so back to trolling and trying to bait others into sharng live trades.
2 options...
1. drop the dumb ass ego and learn the hard way to trade, doubt you will make it though.

well, I would never question your performance, you state it is such and I take it for face value. My point altogether was that there is no proof in public domain of recent success of day traders. However, there is such in most any other domain of financial trading whether it be high frequency, mid frequency algorithmic trading, whether it be hedge fund trading (with their myriads of different investment and trading styles), market making on the banking sell-side, among others. Just no public authentic proof of successful day trading. This cannot be argued, it is a hard fact, and if anyone wants to disprove it then please point me/us to it. There is public and audited proof that there are highly successful swing traders, or those who hold positions longer. But where is there any public record of multi-year success by any single day trader? There is not (at least not recently). And most every trader/investor portrayed even in Schwager's books holds positions overnight. The facts are not a blanket statement they are simple facts. But again, I do not question anyone's individual performance, including yours, because I do not care to be honest. I am not impressed because after all is said and done it is just a statement made by an anonymous internet user to another anonymous internet user. Truth? Fiction? Who knows thus I do not bother to figure it out. I just point out the facts.
I'm always fascinated if I read about guys making these kind of money from trading. Every time I'm wondering how the hell are pulling these guys that kind of money from the market. I can't imagine making 100k a month with the way I trade short of having huge positions. But it always pushes me to rethink the way I trade and I guess one simply have to trade oneself into these kind of money.
Nevertheless, knowing that there are traders out there earning seriousness money is always a motivation for me.
