The GOP needs to make a push to eliminate the EC.
One man / one vote is the way an election should work.
What good is it for a republican to cast a vote in California?
What good is it for a democrat to cast a vote in Texas?
Why should we keep allowing a few key states to control our destiny?

I'm not so sure I want New York and California deciding how it should go. It may be good for them but bad for me. I like the electoral college, and smarter men than me figured out that was the way to go.

I am totally against electronic voting.
I understand that Obama won the pop vote, but the GOP nor the Dems should lose just because a person's vote counts for nothing, if he lives in, say CA, TX, OH, etc.

Your vote doesn't "count for nothing", it's part of the popular vote. And if you weren't a minority then your state would be red.

angry white men eh?

Seems democrats are just the part of gimee gimee gimee I wanna I wanna "what you have " cause dat's fair.

I'm sure that most here on ET won't have anything to worry about. When you aint' got nothin, you got nothin to lose. Bob Dylan I think.

Exactly, why such disconnect understanding a democracy?

If you live near Disneyland and you voted for Romney, your vote counted for nothing.

If you live near Cowboys stadium and you voted for Obama, your vote counted for nothing.

The national pop vote does not have to agree with the EC vote.
EC vote rules.

We need to eliminate the EC.

Sure, but most Americans are NOT left and right. The average American can't name the VP of the US or their own governor. That's why it's so silly trying to create these images of what the left or right is in this country. MSNBC draws you a picture of the right and Fox News draws you a picture of the left. The stupid ones are the ones who believe those pictures.

This is very good food for thought! Thank you.
