Quote from Brandonf:
If you go out and start a website, run it for 5 1/2 years like I did and turn profits of over $2,000,000 from a two person operation, then please get back to me.
A customer does not care that you personally have major profits and whether you have run it for TWENTY years.
Take a look at the shellacking PureSchtick takes, and you will see just one example of what customers want.
Your view on this is backwards. And few of them who have tried a couple of services would have any agreement with your statement, that you know what CUSTOMERS want.
The honest truth of the matter is though that an audited track record does you no good at all. [/i]
Wrong. Many to most CUSTOMERS want an audited track record, You keep talking about what vendors want and think.
You will get just as many people with one as with out it.
Try spending some time on timertrac, futurestruth or colective2. Your opinion is very misinformed. CUSTOMERS (you keep talking about the vendor's point of view) FLOCK to the few audited systems with good track records.
Also the track records are easily manipulated anyhow. For example the courts proved that Wade Cook maintained dozens and dozens of accounts. He would show the ones that where profitable, but overall his tax returns showed large market losses nearly every year. An audited record is critical if you want to manage money, its just an added pain in the ass if all you want to do is run a site and make calls.
Again, you keep talking about the vendor. Your opinion that customers don't care only apply to customers who are newbies. People who use vendors and have been burned once or twice strongly want and prefer a proven track record
Obviously people can try to manipulate. But most tracking sites tag you with all systems at once. You must provide proof of who you are. Credit cards, etc.
Regardless of your personal background, I get the feeling you have little experience with getting audited by some of the major sites, but you have your opinion to share anyway.
I have spent a great deal of time going through them - their posts, opinions, experiences, and you seem to have little understanding what experienced customers prefer. What they say and what you think are very much at odds.
