What happened there was that the dem power brokers inside the beltway discovered that their party was in fact much further to the left than they thought and was exactly as far left as the republicans said they were. Bernie was very much on the verge of getting the nomination and Jim Clyburn and others huddled to put together a plan to pull the plug on Bernie because they knew he was not electable. or thought he wasn't anyway. If they had to swallow hard and dust off Joe and prop him up then they would do that and they did.

Otherwise the dems had gone full Bernie in what they supported.

In addition to Bernie, Warren was tying up votes which she would not relinquish to Bernie but those were also lefty votes. Nope. Not because, some army of moderates emerged for moderate Joe. If that had been the case, Joe would not have had to keep moving to the left.

Anyway, in regard to Cuba, I have said that Joe is a good old boy and will and has made statements more like the moderate decades of being in DC position he represents which - as I said- puts him at odds with a major part of the dem party which is to the left of Che Guevera.

Keep telling us that the dems are more moderate than people thought because no one has seen any signs of it lately. Yeh, you have some scared shitless lefties that are starting to pretend to be somewhat moderate because they are scared of the midterms. We know what they are though.

What situation is Cuba? It's a socialist utopia and everything is going as planned. It's not quite the leftist paradise that North Korea is, but give it time.
Meanwhile we live here in the terrible, oppressive nation of white devils. A country so horrible that even those who hate it won't leave. Such miserable conditions we have to manufacture problems to complain about.

There was a video of a Cuban who immigrated to the US on You Tube. He had a hidden camera entering a Cuban supermarket which had like 3 items for sale and they had to line up for hours to buy anything. Now, that he is in the US, his sister takes him to a US supermarket and his eyes grow wide, amazed at how much food there is. Hilarious, seriously. Cubans once, exposed to the truth, will never want communism again, they would be dumb to want that life.

The lefties will buy into the regime's claim that all of Cuba's problems are related to our trade embargo with them, so they will portray Cuba as the victim.

Meanwhile there is the whole rest of the world for them to do business with but their whole revolution seems to depend on Yankee greenbacks I guess. The Canadians love them and they love the Canadians and they have no restrictions on trade with Canada but they do not have much to trade. And their best buddies- especially Venezuela- are broke these days and did not really seem to lift their economy much even back when they had money. But, again their whole economic model seems to be that you either do business with the dreaded Americans or you just sit there with your fingers up your arse waiting for something new and different to happen.

They might want to try a different economic model after the first six decades of failure. Except as always in places like Cuba and Venezuela, the leaders are doing fine and then some.

Hopefully your lefty buddies will not prop up the regime by getting trade restored with nothing substantial in return. So far that is how they are dealing with Russia and Iran and in progress with China so I just assume Biden will give them something good and get nothing in return for us or the Cuban people.
