What are the chances and possible timing of a China crackdown in HK and how can we trade it?

I'm not talking on a human level. I'm talking on a strategic, geopolitical level. I want to bang a new Ms Universe every year. Is it human? Yep. Realistic? No.
I think you're selling yourself short:D

From the perspective of a young person in Hong Kong, they've got probably a double digit chance of pulling it off right here right now. That diminishes to a single digits to tenths of digit percent chance of it happening again in their lifetime if this fails. So I can see thinking it's worth trying.

Under the existing legal framework is it possible for "People's Armed Police" to be used in HK instead of the PLA? I think that would be a better solution than PLA due to substantially better crowd control capabilities and optics. Under emergency conditions HK govt and police request assistance from PAP. PAP assists. Less thaan 50 people die. Curfews and defacto martial law impose calm. Done.

I'm just an observer. It seems that the protesters are nuts. Their demands are completely unrealistic. They are basically demanding independence at this point. They don't understand that China is not to be fucked with. Especially like this.

But if China shows Gorbachev type weakness all bets are off.

Can any knowledgeable person answer my question about the possibility of PAP involvement?

Regarding a phyric victory time will be on the side of Bejing. Most other nation-states have there hands full with there own internal issues. Eventually the protesters will run out of bodies and the mainland can keep replenishing reinforcements. It would be wiser to give up the land and take bussiness elsewhere.
The hammer is coming down and when the gavel hits don't be on the table.
