If he finds him unelectable then that is why he would theoretically back him. I think Mayor Pete is a good guy, extremely smart and has his heart in the right place. I hope he goes far. This is because you're one of the sane individuals on the left who understands the concept of principles and not simply supporting your "team" no matter what. You understand that people can present opposite sides of political views and it isn't personal. You get that others may need discussion to see something the way you do rather than immediate acceptance, and that lack of immediate acceptance doesn't mean those people are your mortal enemies. Finally, you are more concerned with attacking issues, and not attacking people per se.

Tony/AK Forty Seven, Freddie, these people are fanatical liberals who aren't concerned about issues - just people and what side those people are on. Its the ultimate Hatfield v. McCoys battle to them. They're not concerned about compromise, nothing is common in their sense, and they're just about snark, extreme points of view (that they consider centrist) and rabid attacks. If they actually stopped for a moment to consider something other than the all out war against the right, they'd have to consider how much vitriol spewing has cost them in their private lives. They are the kind of folks that live alone, are avoided at parties (assuming they get an invite in the first place) and tend to spend most of their lives online, because that's where they can be their miserable, rotten, self righteous selves.

You are making a serious mistake to overlook Trump's severe mental disorder, and to continue to pass these incidents off as mere everyday mistakes. They aren't. His personality disorders do not excuse his monumental corruption; they serve to render him blind to it. The others are simply sycophants fearful of him or of losing their livelihoods. Anyone with a position of responsibility who sticks with him to the end runs a risk of ruin. I suspect Pompeo will be next. He overstayed, is getting caught up, and I'm certain he is looking for a way to save himself.
