Designer glasses are a massive problem in any case. Corporate mergers creating monopoly. Spectacles should not be in the hundreds of dollars range. It is a cartel.
Set to play.

I don't have a smart phone, but I'm forced to pay for theirs.
I don't buy designer eyeglasses for myself, but I'm forced to pay for theirs.
WTF??
Damn. I guess I just have to admit it. I'm a F'n NAZI!!

I could see your point, but we're a cashless society. Taxing consumption is probably the only true progressive tax. Poor people don't buy the Benz. Flat income tax. Flat local sales tax. Nominal sales tax at 10% won't negatively impact any local municipality.
Nearly but depends on where you are. My assistant is in the States and she uses cash fairly often she just said.
I use cash when visiting mostly as American barmen and.. lots of others.. are thieving bastards. I know chip and pin is finally there but once last Christmas I had to jump the bar and take the magnetic reader the POS has just swiped my card with under the counter.
Twice I've had my foreign card cloned and used in the US a year and a day after I used them for something small passing through the US. I don't fuck about anymore.
I use CCs overseas. The only issue is when it's cloned you can't use it, but the issuer will usually overnight a new card. Open up another checking account with a debit card and sweep funds into it as needed. CC gets cloned you use the DC.

I stated I support universal health care in the US, but only when costs are brought to normal levels, otherwise you have a system that will not be sustainable long-term.I don’t understand your point. You want the US to deal with healthcare costs but you think universal healthcare is an economic death trap?
Universal healthcare is how we deal with healthcare costs.
We don’t talk about the healthcare burden we put on ourselves because we are stuck in a 19th century healthcare system. It’s been time to move on.
