So what - - the public is an idiot with an infinite capacity for self deception. They don't know what shape they or the economy is in and they don't want to know. They vote for some guy who used such terms as 'change' and 'hope' even though they didn't know what that even means. Your analysis is void of any reality.
Americans are pretty good at making "adjustments" to what is going on in the Economy and they do not simply bury their "head in the sand" as you have implied and suggested.
You call the state of California "insane", yet it consistently ranks as the 6th or 7th largest economy in the WORLD.

Goods are being dumped at ridiculous discounts as retailers struggle to keep up their sales numbers. If you had a clue, you would realize that it is a good time to shop, especially at places like Costco where you can stock up on food.
California is bankrupt, by the way. Or did you miss the memo where Arnold is begging for a Federal bailout.
Landis so you think a packed mall in your area of the US means everything is fine and dandy, just to let you know this year retailers are having sales well before thanksgiving even starts and the reason for this is because no one is going out to purchase anything, wake up and look at the retail sales, do you have any idea whats in store for retail sales this year and next, they do not look good, a packed mall means people are just stupid enough to fall for the sales and run up debt even higher as the next major crisis to unfold WILL BE CREDIT CARD DEBT.....
Another thing is some retailers AFTER xmas will filing for chapter 11, they are holding out as long as they can by discounting what they have left in inventory. DO not look at a parking garage to make judegement on the overall economy, sales will be as worse or even worse than 2001, I think we will be lucky to even see 2.5% sales this xmas.
Lets see consumers run up even more credit card debt because there is just $1 Trillion of it already to go upside down.
I dont think he understands how many retailers are discounting products as much as 60% just to get people into their stores. If it does look busy and people are buying it wont matter because profit margins will be knocked down across the board due to the price drops in all product lines in major retail outlets.
