Went into a trading firm in NYC... What a bunch of losers

LoooooL!!!!That is the funniest post I ever read in my life.

Have you ever thought about doing stand-up comedy?

OMG, I've read this post about 5 times and I'm still laughing. I think Vinny's got it right, daytrading... bag it. You need to write standup comedy

So don't keep us in suspense, which prop shop?

Kinda reminds me of poker rooms. They have their share of slobby, overweight fellas grinding out a living.
..as the phone rings and is then picked up.."Hello, Societe General Trading Division, may I help you" :D

did u happen to notice if there were any Frito Lay Potato chips?

those are good.
No they were French Onion Sun Chips..they were trying to eat healthier..LOL!!!

Sorry, but I don't understand the point of this thread.

I walked down Bourbon St. the other night...who cares?

I was at least hoping for some useful information out of this thread like the name of the prop firm. And also, is their appearence necessarily indicative of their trading skills?

Just wanting more detail thats all...

The one thing the OP didn't mention was whether or not the P/Ls on the traders' screens were green. If they're green, that's all that matters. My desk is a messy shithole. Eating food, even junk, and playing video games, keeps me from churning.

But yah, most those firms are filled with losers.

you'll lose your money to me. thanks for the cash

A friend of mine told me that I should go check out this prop firm and on friday I did. What an incredible experience.

I have never in my life seen a group of sleezebags like these losers. Almost everyone looked like they just woke up. I saw a couple of armpit stained shirts, a couple of them had already slobbed food and stained their shirt already. I couldn't imagine that over a half had put on a new shirt for the day. 1/2 the people were severly overweight, the other half still overweight. The trading room was a absolute pig-sty there had to be at least 8 brands of potato chips wrappers thrown on the floor, along with random computer parts, and playstation controlers.

Wow... If this is what I'll end up like if I become a full time trader --> I better think again

couldnt be any worse than walking around walmart or the goofy people at the gas station, bar, post office nieghbors, tv....internet
