Glad you were able to find the place again. You may have noticed I put a lot into it. New window treatments and carpet, chairs etc... I think it goes a long way to make it more comfortable don't you?

As far as driving the price of oil goes, I thought it was the least I could do considering you were kind enough to stop by.

Lemme know when your ready to have the Nodoji commodity room added to the chat room. I have the contractor standing by to remodel and add on.

Finally a day I could sink my teeth into. Made a few trades resulting in gains and now holding NATI short overnight.

It was an interesting day from a penny stock point of view as well. ICOPQ which used to be ICOP when I shorted a few shares of it. I didn’t get to crazy with this one but I could have pressed it a bit further. On my next one I may add another 20-30% in size. The price imploded again and I was able to cover once again at a nice gain. In total I believe I am north of $1K in gains from this one. Not bad for a stock I don't think that I have had over $2K in capital committed to at any one time.
BKI gave me a William B7 signal and I was able to get the show started with a nice fade. Next in line was CBT which I did the same with. KEYN was a mistake and I exited after seeing that it was not a valid signal for a small loss. MSTR was a big dog gap higher than I faded while keeping one hand on the keyboard and the other with my fingers crossed. : o ) I did not actually trade very many shares of it and my gain is over $1 per share.
NATI was my biggest short of the day. I closed out a small gain but I am also carrying over a short overnight looking for lower prices tomorrow. This was hit with a triple whammy of great news. Positive earnings, guidance, 3 for 2 stock split (always a dumb thing to do at this price) and an increase in dividends. Hmmmm maybe that's more than three things but one things for sure. I believe the news is all in along with those that think there are going to be more money to push the price higher only to find out they were the last to get on the bus. Look out below as NATI should close lower than the open tomorrow. QCOM was an after hours earnings trade short.

How did you make money ob short NATI today? It was pretty much going up all day long.

I assume you were long on CBT today? What time or what price did you get in?

Thanks for reading my journal and taking the time to post.

Well I was able to short peaks and took relatively small gains when it retraced. I held NATI overnight as I shorted into the close and you will see that worked out well for me as well as others in the chat room.

In short it didn't go straight up.

I shorted CBT as well.

Today started out really well and continued to get better.

My overnight with NATI paid off well. Some in the chat room made more per share (some I was told about $1 per share). I didn’t do that well but was happy none the less. I closed that trade out and was busy all day long trying to field all the signals and close to signals I received. It was one busy day. CRUS was non-stop smiling at me from across the room along with NWL, WERN, BKI (several times) and HS more than once. I traded MSFT after the earnings was leaked early and shorted it but I hit near the top at 29.40 and had a lot of offers above but only was able to get 100 shares off before it fell. I did marginally better with AMZN with a trade size of 200 shares but the dollar results are far different. I traded AMZN long. HP was my big intraday winner today. William B9 signal came early in the day and almost a little to early as I become cautious that I may get rolled over when it signals right after the bell. HS was another William signal that worked well but small size.I did nothing with my current pos penny stock short. I plan on just sitting on it for a while and try to get 40%+.
I sold some $6 Feb calls against some of my COCO holdings. I did not fully cover the stock but wanted to capture some of the move higher and will look to cover if the stock moves lower. At an average price of under $4.50 I think its wise to have some of the stock covered to be able to get more time premium.
I shorted WERN and BKI into the close for an overnight trade. WERN and especially BKI have become totally crazy in terms of short term pricing in my opinion. I will look to cover in the first half of tomorrow.

Thanks for the explanation. I am glad to see that NATI worked well for you, along other trades you made today.

I would not have guts to short strong stocks like BKI and WERN at all.

What is "chat room" you mentioned?
