Started out as a good day and I tried to make more out of it. didnt work out well so far but I am short XCO and it hasnt broke the down trend yet. I did trade XCO back and forth by scalping it.

What a great day. I actually drove to work and thought it would be a slow day.

Not at all the case. The best part was I actually didnt need to use any leverage although I thought LNC may kick some in as it was looking very good.

While I started out trading right away and closed out LNC near the end of day, most of the day was just simply sitting and waiting for the charts to fully setup.

As expected I did only short today. I traded mostly the YM and did pretty well.

During the close I faded the move up and as of this post I am still short the YM and fading the aftermarket move up. Perhaps this will have some legs and keep going but I am thinking the market is headed down before up.

once again TradeStation doesnt work well. Going to reinstall the whole OS and try it again. Perhaps it was the antivirus making a filter issue. Not sure.

Took a beating with the YM last night and with XL today. I did make a few dollars today with YM but not even close enough to make up for the loss.

I really thought we would pull back down from the rally yesterday. I guess I was right but early which is just as bad as being wrong.

Once again today I had nothing but problems with my Tradestation computer. I did do a reinstall of the TS software this last weekend but its only better but not fixed.

Now I am installing Xp64 on the box and I hope to solve my problems. I could have put XP pro back on but since I had x64 on hand and the computer is a dual xeon with 4 gig of ram I thought it may end up to be much better.

I did make some gains trading the HSI last night but I dont count that in this PnL

slowest day for me in months.

Not easy to find good setups in this market when your standard MO is to short fade.

As I type this we are down about 9% on the major markets and what can I say beyond WOW. When did NY become some banana republic trading center?

On a good note I changed over my computer running tradestation to XP64. It can now use the full 4 gig of ram and I am thinking of even adding more. Ran like a champ all day so far.

trades today are small in volume and in number of trades.
