The catholics have taken it to a whole new level, but I suspect they all have their dirty little secrets.
I'm a no preference kind of guy. Even my dog tags say no preference. When they asked my religion I told them I didn't have one. As I was smacked upside the head and called a commie heathen I was told I had no preference, and that was that. Still holds true today.

Apologize for what? Letting people believe as they will? I have no problem with anyone believing whatever they want. I have never advocated here or elsewhere any form of religion. Personally I think organized religion to be wicked in many cases. Spiritual beliefs are another thing entirely. Organized religion has corrupted the spiritual nature of our being. They do not preach the word of God, they preach the word of man, many men. I have no use for it. All in my not so humble opinion.

That Isaiah quote is perfect... and explains why we all need forgiveness.


Asimov was a bit small minded on this one. He should have used his imagination a bit more. He forgot one little tidbit. The Creator may choose to bestow his grace (forgiveness) on all of some of us or none of us.

yes. forgiveness for your self loathing. just as i said. religion instills guilt in the mind of the believer.
