I agree. However, in end of February I did not remember anybody anybody from both political parties or somebody in Europe was telling the worse is coming and we will have depression here in US, EU. Only was discussed how China epidemic will impact about .5% GDP. Did you figured out that time. I personally did not.

To be objective I would say the following. Trump did good things to close air travel from China. First from all west countries. What he missed together with all west countries to completely shut off all international flights. Biden wouldn’t close any. Trump missed two months to be prepared an advance. Obviously what his is missing now as all Dem/Rep governors to antibody test for at least 20% state population. If we know we already have 60% or more covid19 exposed, we can freely open states for businesses because the worse 60% impact is over. However none of them is proposing this agenda.

First you have to cite things correctly. He did not ban air travel from China. He banned Chinese nationals from flying or anyone who had been in China past 14 days EXCEPT for U.S. citizens. So hundreds of U.S. citizens from China could have gotten on planes and flown back daily.

You guys seem to think only Chinese people can carry the virus and bring it here so if we banned them we did the right thing. the right thing is to either ban 100% of all entrance to people who were in China the past 14 days (back at the end of January) and for U.S. citizens you could come back and then quanrantine yourself for 14 days with a mask and separate from your family and those people should have gotten tested.

The problem with all the focus on China is we forgot about all the virus carriers who came from Europe with primary originatons in China.

I would have been fine with a 100% close down of travel no matter what your citizenship was rather than some half ass measure that people are supposed to get a full chubby over.
