maybe so, but the social reason a man like that needs is more consumers and not neccessarily more new small disruptive competitive businesses.

But processed foods help keep agrabiz and chemical company profits up, as well as poisoning the population, which helps pharma buy creating an endless supply of customers, many on the taxpayers dime, to use thier drugs to counteract the effects of processed food.
It's sort of a death spiral at this point.
Nobody knows for sure how each candidate would influence the economy. I'm very sure the politicians or the "Establishment" (republicans and democrats) have ruined this countries potential (economy included) more than any other factor! I feel more desperate than ever to want radical change of our government. I'm willing to risk a lot to remove our current politicians from office and eliminate the corrupt gravy train they have created for themselves. If that means more pain in the economy and possible war...then so be it. If the establishment maintains control, this country will continue to slowly bleed to death anyway and eventually implode! At least Donald Trump can't be bought and is the closest we have to our Founding Fathers...who were also radical. You want things to stay the same? Not me. I'm willing to take a chance with someone who knows business, can't be bought, and doesn't care about joining the "political club". Things may get worse for awhile if he's elected (it's going that direction anyway), but at least we have potential to be great again with him! It's possible that things are so screwed up now (US debt), any one leader can't make a difference in only 4-8 years.

We have one of the best economy in the world and overall Americans are better off economically than humans have ever been in the history of the race. I follow you on the first part, but I'm not willing to sacrifice my son, who just turned 15, for this corrupt government. If the country is attacked, and I mean really attacked not the manufactured war on terror, he will do his duty. Otherwise, we're off to Canada, Singapore, NZ or Australia.
IMO, the last justified war the US engaged in is WWII. The others have been geopolitical BS and actions to prop up the US war machine and big business.
Pretty simple...Warren supports Obama, Obama supports Warren. Warren says some nice things about Obamacare / socialist policies, Obama kills the Keystone XL pipeline and ensures that oil must be carried by rail (Berkshire owns a lot of railroads). Long term, it doesn't matter who Warren supports. He's not going to change who gets elected. He's only interested in influencing policy to benefit his company. That said, he is still a great investor and I admire him for his philanthropy.
It's interesting that you say that. It's true, I've never been in any war, but I am from a military family. My father is a World War II veteran and he feels even stronger about what I'm saying more than I do! He remembers the risk he took serving his country and the result was the greatest country in history. He thinks were just a shell of that country he used to know. The point is...our economy is underachieving and will continue to do so under current regimes. You state that Americans are still better off in world history, but you do realize that it's all propped up by huge amounts of DEBT! I know lots of friends/neighbors/relatives that seem to be living very well, but from my understanding its all the debt that's keeping things going. The rest of the world is going this direction as well. I don't want war either...I just think Donald would be tougher on the world and piss some people off...hopefully he would be strategic and technologically savvy enough to limit death tolls if it came down to war. You do realize this country became great in the first place because some wars were won. Yes, I find some of histories wars absolutely ridiculous! Are you ok with the "gravy train"? It's us that pays the price for their corruption...it's all burning down slowly right now. Don't you want to stop it?
As someone who's served it's truly disturbing to me to see people mindlessly advocating for the horrors of war to solve what, a debt problem? An underachieving economy? We have to show everybody who's boss to stay great? Stopping a "gravy train"? It's sad you've been so blinded by ideology that you've come to this "we have to destroy the country to save the country" mentality. By the way, we aren't currently at our nation's highest debt to gdb ratio. That happened after WWII. That's what war gets you, along with death and suffering.
And why I eat organic veggies, it was actually a matter that my body could not process hormonal foods and I got Fibromyalgeria, so a Doctor in London said he could cure me in two minutes, told me to stop eating meats, dairy, salt and most oils, so I did 4 years ago, lost 155lbs so far (I had gained 250 pounds from taking steroids as I also have chronic Sarcoidosis) and didn't do much exercise, I do exercise now and have another 90lbs to go to get to 204, as I am 6'6" tall. I no longer have Fibromyalgeria.
Someone told me once that all the crap to eat is always in the middle of the store and the good stuff is usually on the walls, makes sense as they easier to get to and veggies sold often, only meats I eat are fresh water, although "fresh' can be deceptive as we have polluted almost everything.
This is why I want to buy a farm in few years to raise Organic and Range Fed Angus Beef, Organic fish, nuts, mushrooms, hay. I really enjoy pizza now without cheese, that cheese was always greasy anyways.
